Except correct me if I'm wrong, with enough recharge the buff from Takeoff is Perma.

What if Acrobatics were to give a buff similar to Takeoff, so the Super Jump user had the option to invest in more powers to become as fast or faster than the Mighty Leap user?

That right there is why it got nerfed.

i’m going to mention again, right now mighty leap is still better at jumping then super jump, because people with mighty leap can pick up the jump pack to replace double jump, but people with super jump have no way of getting what takeoff gives mighty leap users. does anyone have any comment on this at all?

Ok. I see the problem. So, a different approach. Sonic Cage becomes a toggle, you can turn it off when you like. Perhaps has limited duration, probably 30 seconds max I guess? Add the team +Regen, +Recovery effects to Sonic Siphon, but weaker since they will be up all the time. I guess that should do it.

Did they? I still don't take DS and rarely see it used. And they didn't apply it to Black Hole. 😞

Well, leaving aside the discussion of whether or not the cottage rule is still a thing... How about this: If you use Sonic Siphon on the Sonic Caged mob it gives Regen and Recovery to the team? Apart from that, the powers don't change.

The problem is that the core functionality and purpose of Sonic Cage, currently, is practically speaking nothing.

I understand the point he's making. Changing the names of the powers in question is the way around the cottage rule. I don't think so. You're still putting them in a cage, it's just a different kind of cage. People misunderstand the cottage rule, I think.

Fairly simple idea for how to make Sonic Resonance a little better and in particular how to fix Sonic Cage: Sonic Cage becomes Single Target Foe -Res, -Spd, and applies the "Sonic Cage" effect for 30 seconds. Moved to tier 1 spot. Sonic Siphon becomes Single Target Foe -Spd, -Rech for 30 seconds and Self +Regen, +Recovery, fairly strong effects, but only 5 or 10 seconds. If the target has the "Sonic Cage" effect on them the +Regen and Recovery effects become PBAoE Ally effects. Moved to tier 4 spot. That's it.

Another question about Group Fly: Am I correct in thinking that Group Fly does Not by itself apply the 50% increased fly speed cap?

As long as the +Range buff granted BY sniper attacks on Blasters is intact, it'll be ok.

RoP still makes my corruptor nearly as tough as a scrapper for 60 seconds. I won't be respeccing out of that. At least not on that particular toon. I agree it was overtuned relative to the other Origin pool t5s and relative to Epic powers like Force of Nature or armor t9s like Elude. That's not to say that I don't understand people being unhappy with the change. It never feels good to get nerfed, but I think the change makes sense.

And to be absolutely clear, just because in your particular case your Sentinel is no longer at the cap (though is faster in absolute terms) simply means your particular slotting isn't the maximum allowable. It does NOT mean: the devs have decided that flight actually needs to be required to have more slots for it to get up to its new caps

And iirc those shots showed that you are faster than you were before. True, you're no longer hitting the cap, but you are now faster and IF YOU WANT you can slot to get even faster still. If you don't want to change your slotting you've lost NOTHING. You are faster than you used to be and you have gained a potential for greater speed should you choose to explore it. "Hitting the cap" is not some magical state nor status symbol. All that matters is absolute speed, which has gone up.

You keep asserting this and it is still not true. I copied my PB to test and I hit the caps without changing my slotting at all.

I noticed this too and reported it in the beta bugs forum, but I wasn’t able to be this specific.

I may not get to actually test this, but these questions occurred to me: 1. Does the removal of level gated travel limitations mean that lowbies won't fall out of Group Fly? 2. Does Evasive Maneuvers apply to the speed of your teammates in Group Fly, or only to you? 3. Can Group Fly and Fly be on simultaneously and will Afterburner work on Group Fly and will it effect teammates?

That sounds right.
