I really don't like the sniper changes.

In that spreadsheet Blaster Freeze Ray does 6.26 damage. That power does 11 ticks of 12.51 damage, or 137.6 That also says Bitter Freeze Ray is 82.58 damage. It’s actuality 172.67. These powers literally got buffed the day paragon shut down. Still remember finding out about the shutdown in the thread it was discussed. It seems the poster is working of an archive of lives city of data. Didn’t check but would not be shocked if it also thinks Assault Rifle quick snipe is 0.67 second cast when it’s (and has been since before SCORE) 1.5 seconds. -
Think the energy armor entropy aura works that way. If you are hidden and stand next to a foe, it does not affect them (nor does it buff you) but should you be running the aura first, and try to hide, it keeps you visible because you are continuously debuffing their ToHit.

Keep in mind this is still a beta. They already rolled back some of the “nerf”, who knows how this will look next week, or even tonight. -

This article lists a few. https://massivelyop.com/2019/05/21/city-of-heroes-reddit-shards-homecoming-multibox/ I hear the name “rebirth” thrown around a lot. -

If that is how you feel, you may be on the wrong server. Some servers have vowed not to change a thing, others will change. The best part of this new age is we can have both. -

I keep seeing the same people argue: it’s that easy, everyone can do it, but ... letting anyone doing it is bad! -

If it was too easy to achieve already, non snipe sets were already unquestionably behind and this does not make it anymore so. But ice is definitively not behind, and I have to take others word for it, but i keep hearing water is also top tier with no snipe, when compared to perma-snipe sets. -

LowlyOne, I personally think it’s still useful, even if it’s not a meta stat. Enemies with defense are easier to defeat if you have to-hit over accuracy, and it’s also a better stat to more accurately hit higher level foes. That being said: targeting drone now has +recharge! And time bomb sounds actually useful! -

Lots of things won’t work on other servers, that’s a terrible excuse for any change, and who cares if a specific stat is “useless” at end game? There are tons of useless stats. I take that reduced range is an issue, roll my eyes at people complaining about less than 1 second Recharge increase at end game, but still also at least a real issue. A stat becoming useless or builds not having the same impact on other servers? Ugh.... Anyways, glad to see the changes coming. That recharge bonus on targeting drone may actually eat away the recharge increase on most builds! -

Letting the devs sort out the feedback sounds like a good policy. Arguing back and forth to attack OR defend proposals may be counter productive as it means they got a lot more to go through. -

A constant I see on this thread is the divide between “too powerful” and “big nerf” If it’s too powerful for everyone to get perma fast snipe, I think it’s too powerful for anyone to get them at all. Getting perma fast snipe at the cost of 3 second recharge sounds good to me. Would like more range on them than standard 80ft, though. Hopefully the powers that be increase the range. I love the bonus damage out of combat, but can it be after 10 seconds instead of 15 seconds? -

This is not possible. They increased base recharge by 3 seconds. If you are at 6 seconds with a base of 12, minutes it should now be at 7.5 seconds with a base it 15, not 9. -

Psi ranged attacks have always had higher range. It’s kinda like their signature “secondary trait.” -

It seems the dominator version has lower recharge at the cost of lower damage. That definitively means they don’t pack as strong a DPS as the blaster fast snipes. -

And ice blast got an insane buff because of it, tied to no conditionals. Dual Pistols still sucks and hope it gets some love (looks at what they did to the Senrinel version of suppressive fire.) -
Agree, snark is unecesary. There are tons of stuff that was done by SCORE, too much to get fully caught up with. That being said, it is indeed a feature. They added a new attack to each form by letting you use some human form powers that didn’t have animation issues while shifted.

issue 26 Patch Notes for May 30th, 2019
Super Homer replied to Leandro's topic in Patch Notes Discussion
The pattern I have seen is that nobody enjoyed it, it was just ran over and over because it was too efficient not to. Even people arguing against the nerf keep bringing up how boring and tedious it was. -
Controller Immobilize and Storm Control
Super Homer replied to abombination92's topic in Bug Reports
The KB to KD effect only lasts 12 seconds. It was that way also when it just gave the targets complete KB protection. It also applies the KB to KD effect to any foe, even if they resist the immob. -
Post inventions, it seems devs felt they gave too much def to players and started giving critters more to hit al over the place. The new high end Family, for instance, has tons of tohit buffs via targeting drone. I just wish they had done the jump and made def armor sets use elusiveness (that’s is currently PvP exclusive) and leave defense for pools, sets and external buffs.

Super Homer replied to Leandro's topic in Patch Notes Discussion
DFB is a fun low level trial, if you do it once or twice. It’s too simple to not become monotonous if farmed exclusively. Again: you feel the leveling experience is too slow (even with 2xp) then there are way much better feedback paths to improve leveling speed that don’t rely on “please help me bore myself further by making a single thing the optimal leveling thing!” Given the volunteer work force, I’d also say “make tons of new equal trials” is not a viable solution either. But hey: how about making PvP matches give tons of XP? -
issue 26 Patch Notes for May 30th, 2019
Super Homer replied to Leandro's topic in Patch Notes Discussion
You can pretend you chose to do it all you want, but this post shows exactly why it was needed: people were tolerating doing something they found tedious or boring or annoying only because it was the most efficient way to earn XP. That is an issue!!! You can argue leveling in this game is too slow, that it should somehow be sped up across all content, but doing the same tedious content over and over (anything becomes tedious once it’s repeated to no end) hurts the game, as people that can’t endure it but feel that’s the way to do things just quit. Personally, I would like to see some other ways that are more varied to earn xp. Bigger mission and arc complete bonuses, maybe PvP match experience, TF xp, badge XP, monster hunter XP. But having just one content be ridiculously better than the rest is bad for everyone in the long run. -
Most sentinel armors have no auras, unless it’s a damage aura? No invincibility for instance. Instead they get invincible, that gives a fixed amount of defense. That I noticed, all armor sets follow that pattern, similar to how stalkers also remove most auras for hide and other more thematic powers.
-
If a Sentinel (or stalker) really really wanted a Taunt, there is always Presence>Provoke.
-
So, I gotta ask....what's it like starting from scratch?
Super Homer replied to JnEricsonx's topic in General Discussion
It is, but there are complaints from the hosts that the farms are taking too many resources so XP has been nerfed on the AE, at least until they come up with some solution.
