  1. I think you could do this by updating the homecoming Wiki and then see if the Devs are willing to put some reference to that Wiki in the initial dialogue with the contact somehow, upon starting the TF. That way the "new to this TF" player will have some direction on where they could go to get more information about that TF. It could be as simple as pasting the link to that SF/TF's page on the Wiki at the bottom of the intro dialogue with that contact. We would just need people to keep things up to date as updates/changes are made. EDIT: This is turning more into a suggestion and may be better placed in the suggestions section of these forums.
  2. It definitely depends on his definition of "super pimped out", but yes it is much better if you at least have a decent build. You certainly don't need a maxed out crazy expensive build, though.
  3. Omg shard… do… do we actually agree on something?
  4. Definite: Miss Liberty TF LRSF Dr. Kahn Barracuda Mabye: Lady Grey Tinmage Apex
  5. Anyways, back on track. I like the content. I hope they keep expanding it to more stuff. Would I like to see the rewards increased? Sure. But it was still much needed in my opinion. I understand it isn't everyone's cup of tea. There are different skill levels of players in this game and that is fine. There are also different opinions and viewpoints on what is/is not boring, that is also fine. All this being said: Anyone wanna schedule a run through of ITF or ASF hard mode with me? We can get a solid team together and try a 3 or 4 star one night. I may be running another one here soon with my SG/Friends. 🙂
  6. So it isn't about the rewards or the time investment, you just find it boring. Good, that was easy.
  7. Not sure the intent is to attract new people, or just to give the people that currently play more stuff to do with their decked out toons. You don't have to like it or play it, that's a you thing. There have been numerous posts on these forums from several people that have asked for harder stuff to do, I didn't see anyone crying for it. Different points of view, I guess what is a request for one person is a cry for another. I suppose it depends on whether you wanted the content or not? And, yes the rewards aren't worth the time investment. But, this suggests that if the rewards were worth the time investment more people would do it. So it isn't the content so much as it is the rewards? I feel like this argument has been made before, though.
  8. I don't know about anyone crying for it... I know some people asked for harder stuff to do. And of course it is run less than the TF's you mentioned, the rewards aren't the same. Just more evidence people do stuff for rewards (despite the numerous claims otherwise), what's your point? Do you not want it in the game? Do you think it was a waste of time?
  9. That's great that you don't see hard mode TF's advertised. Doesn't in any way change what I said. I couldn't care less if they are advertised. The ones I have participated in though weren't.
  10. I wouldn't recommend PUGing ATF on the harder settings. Not that it’s impossible, just you aren’t always getting what you may need and communication is harder on PUGs. Usually when I run it it’s with a pre planned team. So you won’t see LFG chat from me about it, FWIW.
  11. The hard mode content is an absolute blast. I just don’t usually have enough play time in one session to participate all the time.
  12. If we share our opinions enough, the trolls will sniff us out and it will turn into another 👎 farm the natural way.
  13. Yes but, to be fair, the fact that you don’t participate in the mass forum downvote trolls is why I respect you Shard. You actually read the content and downvote specific things. You don’t go through someone’s entire post history and downvote everything they have ever said because of a hissy fit over a difference of opinions. Just saying, there is a difference. EDIT: To be clear this was just meant to distinguish between what @MoonSheep was saying and the the idea of sharing your opinion. I couldn’t care less if you downvote my opinions, you have that right. Go for it! EDIT 2: But, I and others might call you out if you’re trolling. 😂
  14. That’s funny, I’ve been called all the same things. As have most everyone on these forums! 😂
  15. And that’s awesome man! You do you! EDIT: To be fair, if it isn’t about the rewards, then why are people so massively against any change to the rewards of AE?
  16. If people are playing the content they want, not because of the rewards, then the impression is that not much would change from what I have read in this and other threads. Not that I am disagreeing with you. Creep is definitely an outcome of such a change, good point. Thank you for answering! I agree not to intentionally push players out of content they enjoy. On the other hand pretty much every change entices players to change their play slightly as a side effect. Like my question about increasing PI radios to greater than AE farming, wouldn’t that in affect be “forcing” people to play something else? It’s sort of the inverse of the concern for lowering AE rewards so I would assume the answer would be, yes. Because, the point is that if the devs wanted to make AE rewards less than other content they could do that by: 1) Removing Rewards from AE, OR 2) Raising rewards in other places to pass AE output, OR 3) Both. No matter which way you slice it, though, the outcome is the same: AE would be less desired rewards wise than it is now compared to what it was before. Which, as others have said, is essentially the devs “forcing” you to play something other than AE. “Nerfs” are just the opposite of “buffs” and often have similar outcomes in the way it affects the behavior of players.
  17. Pshh rules are meant to be broken… 😎 But seriously I agree make it a rule. Hypothetically, let’s say PI Radios had their rewards increased to match that of AE Fire Farming step for step. Do we think that would increase or decrease the population of AE Fire Farming? For example: Do we think that would impact the rate at which /Fire brutes are created? Because I wager they vastly out populate everything else. If we don’t think anything would change, why not? And if we do, why? EDIT: I will take it a step further and ask, what if we increased PI Radios to be MORE lucrative than AE Fire Farming? What would change then? If anything.
  18. Do you have anything more than anecdotal evidence to support this claim? If so please provide so we can all parse through that data together.
  19. It’s okay to admit you’re obsessed with me.
  20. That’s exactly what happens.
  21. Actually, I love AE! I have my own farm I built and my own story arc! I host farming Fridays every Friday on Everlasting (previously Indom). Me and my friends use AE all the time for inf/xp! 🙂 I have even stated I am against this current change because I think it will have the opposite affect! Thank you for playing! 🙂
  22. Things you can farm in AE: XP INF Emp Merits Reward Merits Incarnate slots Threads/shards Things that will be farmable in AE after this change: XP INF Emp Merits Incarnate slots Threads/Shards You still aren’t getting it. The fact that you can get them OUTSIDE of AE faster is moot. Don’t care, never cared. They are simply trying to move them OUT of AE, because right now you can get everything you could want. (Non-Cosmetic). I couldn’t care less if you can get inf or merits faster somewhere else. It is beside the point. The point is, for reasons they have yet to publicly announce (that I have seen) they want to move Reward Merits out of AE. Also, if you are already getting them outside of AE faster then why are you whining about it? I never said asking for criteria is bad, I said it is pointless unless we can test it together (both sides). Because people are just going to doubt your results regardless of the testing criteria, which is why I asked for a testing buddy. So we can go through it together and post our results together.
  23. Good for you! I am so proud of you! 🙂 Biased about what? Id love to know where you think I stand on this! It would be so refreshing to hear the opinion of someone that has no bias in this whatsoever. 😂 What did I whine about? I said thank you for the downvotes… gosh can’t you just accept my appreciation for you and your mighty downvote? 😂 Also, I asked if anyone wanted to run some data with me (so we can test it TOGETHER and make sure no one is attempting to skew the results by slow playing a farm or comparing the worst farm to the best non-AE content). Or one of any number of things that people can do to misrepresent data. But I’ve gotten no takers. Because, as I said, people keep asking for data but no amount of data is going to change anything. So asking for criteria is pointless because no one will trust the data that anyone from the other side produces anyways. This has happened over and over in these forums and has not changed. Also, as I have continually pointed out, these changes aren’t about making AE pointless for inf/xp. These changes were intended to keep AE from being a one stop shop for EVERYTHING (non-cosmetic) but somehow we keep getting back to this argument that it’s about inf/min or powerleveling or basically anything else. The changes were to move reward merits OUT of AE. Not to kill inf/xp farming. But again, tell me how I am biased for pointing this out, even as I have said I don’t agree with the current change. I guess I shouldn’t expect anything more from a forum PvP. Shame on me! 😂
