Somewhat of a slog until the AssBot. I had a bot/FF on live right before shutdown that I was leveling, stalling out at upper 30’s immediately after the announcement. 27 was a relief, but 32 was transcendent. With Cold, I imagine you’ll be more beastly (err... techno-destructoid?!?) than you ever remember from your force field days. ;)

In psy, mental strike is definitely skippable. Placate and Boggle are situationally useful, with Boggle having the benefit of taking confuse IO sets for the set bonuses. If you are not planning on using invention sets, then either (or both) powers will give you more control options. For SR, you likely don’t need to take Elude as you can be close to soft capped to positions (melee, ranged and AOE) in regular (non-incarnate) content. I don’t have Pine/Mids at work, but my memory is that with all of SR’s powers slotted for defense, combat jumping, and weave, you’ll be very close. If you only get one special IO - Steadfast Protection’s +3 defense - you’ll be closer still. Also, picking up tough on the way to weave (from the fighting pool) will provide a little more smashing/lethal resistance to pair with your scaling resists from Agile. It’s really worth learning to build with sets, as well as a fun meta-game, to maximize your character’s performance. Start by downloading Pine’s!

Thank you very much. I didn’t realize that Sorcery was the only pool available as of yet (still getting used to all the changes that ARE present, versus those that are not)! I do like the fact that arcane blast benefits from containment damage. With one of the P2W powers, it makes a nice single target attack chain when I solo. But you are spot on about how busy TA is. Thanks again!

What is your opinion about the new pool power attacks in sorcery, experimentation, etc..? Are they worth taking early to create an attack chain when soloing? I’ve taken Arcane Bolt on my Plant/TA and have not been too impressed so far. Thank you!
