  2. Force fields: keep Dispersion Bubble running. When you team, cast the shields on your teammates. There’s other tricks, buts that’s really all you *need* to do.

  4. Good morning! Masochistically, I've really been enjoying this combo. Even before L32, it was surprisingly fun solo and great in any group. Frankly, I'm shocked. I'm about to run my patron arc for my epic pool and have been playing around with builds. I'd greatly appreciate any input or even an alternative build to consider. My initial focus is to manage endurance followed by recharge. To best take advantage of the shields and Disruption Field, I'd like to go after a patron pet -- almost like a budget mastermind.   5. So you know it doesn't rely on the bots for defense cap. The bots are extra. Just reverse the IOs to blank set and click everything off and you will see defenses are zero. But I am getting an error on the import both ways and would like to see the build. I recreated the build from what was listed. I swear this isn't a epeen competition but I do look and compare. Your short some numbers in defense cap. 44 for melee and 47 for AOE.. Can be fixed. You are also taking a hit not only in regen and recovery but also accuracy and damage bonus, by a lot. And the recharge rate is only fractions of a second faster just look at triage beacon on both builds and compare. You do have some higher resistance numbers. I can't see the cost for for these IOs if your not really getting anything greater out of it. My build is about 100 million. Your triage beacon is 120 million. Both builds are created in Pines. Again I am not trying to fire a shot across your bow here. I am just looking at mids and making sure the settings are correct, which they are and reporting what mids says. In comparing Mids to Pine’s version 2.23 (the linked version in the post above and the one suggested on Homecoming’s boards), there are some real differences in power activation times. Makes me wonder if there are not some other wonky things going on. I won’t be able to get in game to double check for a bit. WTF...

More of a comment that the revision was keeping that original design attribute.   7. Here is a variation on the "Live" Bots/Traps build discussed in this thread (Crafted in updated Pine's). Power selection and order all the same. It adds KB protection, additional recovery, and additional haste (near-permanent hasten) at the expense of some HP and Regen. The lost Regen can be made up with more up-time on double-stacked Triage. Other than two slots, it avoids boosted enhancements (one recharge in hasten and one LotG Def in Force Field Generator). Somewhat more expensive with an additional purple set and more MM ATOs. It retains defense softcap without relying on Protector bubbles. Thanks again to Plainguy's original build and excellent chassis!   13. I play a Robotics M.M. and there are two things you need to be aware of. The first is that most builds will be for the most min-max friendly Powerset combinations. For Robotics that means something that increases Defense (Forcefields, Ice, etc.). Since you're pairing with /Dark you're going to have a harder time finding builds to do that. Good news! If you look through the Sets you'll notice plenty of set bonuses that will increase the Defense of your pets. If you mention the specific combination in the subject of the thread you might get lucky with someone sharing a build, but the title of this thread attracts a different set of eyeballs.   15. Recreate unfortunately. But with a 1000 slots, you don’t have to delete! If you like the costume, you can save it at a tailor first (on your empath) and reload for the new character (time or dark or FF) at the creation screen.
  16. Speaking of, I was trying to plan out a /time MM and even with hasten and as many Recharge set bonuses & recharge IOs I could think of, I still couldn't get Chrono or Hasten to perma. Even picked Agility alpha slot and that STILL wasn't enough. So I grabbed Ageless and sure enough, easy to perma both hasten and chrono.   17. A “tankermind” is a style of bots/traps build that soft caps positional defenses and uses provoke to keep attention on the mastermind rather than the pets. The mez protection is important to avoid ... well... mezzes. I don’t have a build anymore, but if you search for Plainguy’s posts on the old forums, you can find a couple for any primary paired with traps. It should be a little easier now to build for this in Homecoming.
  18. FYI, I think that a /Dark Controller can put out over 100% ToHit Debuff against an AV. Add in the debuffs from the primary (including Haunt and Umbra Beast), and I think that topping 150% is doable. Even resisted, that's like 17% ToHit Debuff against an AV, more than a small Inspiration. I was just checking that very discussion in the Mastermind subforums https://forums.homecomingservers.com/index.php/topic,6539.0.html.! Very true!
  19. Aim high! I can imagine soft-capping Range defense, perma Hasten/Fade/Soul Absorption, and keeping Fearsome Stare, but it would require relying on the Alpha slot to squeeze those last few percentage points (~5 seconds on Hasten). Here's a sketch with Tier 3 Spiritual. The problems/compromises: the slotting on Howling Twilight is very basic, Shadow Field is a little too much of a set-mule, and Living Shadows is limited (relying on Soul Absorption to make it manageable). But other than the 3 HOs -- two in Living Shadows and one in Dark Servant -- and the Gladiator proc, the remaining enhancements are doable. The remaining defenses are 1 inspiration shy of soft-cap, instead relying on the hit debuffs to fill the gap if against anything other than an AV with its massive resists to debuffs. Lastly, Sprint has a +stealth for full coverage with Shadow Fall if you have any interest in stealthing missions. There are two remaining slots left with which to allocate.
