We'll miss you @SeraphimKensai and while I'd be in for a +4 Eden trial, I'm bringing my Stone Armor challenge tank, who missed Citadel during the run(s), to get that TF under my belt...if there's enough interest (hint, hint, @Ronin_Around and @Warboss)...

Very busy night on Excel for Tanker Tuesday with 5 full teams running. Many thanks to @MsAligned and @Agoogala for leading the missions teams tonight, and to @PLVRIZR & @Warboss for each leading a Citadel TF, both getting done in 53-54 minutes with PLVs team having the slight edge in the finish. And thanks to those that joined me on the Prisoners of Eden Trial, We had some massive herds for DE and took out the Crystal Titan in about an hour.

 

Next week, August 12th,  we are on Torchbearer. Meet up in Kings Row, 6:00 pm PT / 9:00 pm ET. Hess and Lady Grey will be the WST. I will be looking to run the LGTF if there is interest, If you want to join that foolish attempt, make sure to bring a tank that has a hold or two.

You'd think by now, I would have learned that toggles work better when on...but apparently I still have more data points to collect.

Much fun on Torchbearer tonight for Tanker Tuesday. We had four teams running with @Felix9 leading the mission team while @PLVRIZR and @MsAligned both took out teams to tackle the Ernesto Hess TF. Many thanks to them for doing that. And thanks to the great team that joined me on the Lady Grey Task Force. We finished that in 1:24 if memory serves, with about 9 deaths. It was useful practice for our upcoming event.

 

Speaking of which, December 30th, TankHQ will run an all Tank Hamidon Raid on Torchbearer. Regular start time but we will be running in the Abyss. Lots of time for you to get an appropriate tank up to 50+. More info on this will be posted as we approach the event.

 

This Saturday, August 16th, will be Tanker Tuesday on Reunion. Meet up in KR as always. 9:30 am PT / 12:30 pm ET. Hess and LGTF will still be the WST.

Next week, August 19th, TT will be on Everlasting. 6:00 pm PT / 9:00 pm ET.  Manticore and Sutter will be the WST. The Electric Melee challenge will still be going. I think that group is at Manti range.

 

September 2nd on Excel will be the start of the next challenge set. Energy Aura for the Primary, any secondary. Make a fresh tank, no higher than level 4.

 

and as a side note, this weekend for SNS on Torch, Warboss will be running an all Fiery Aura Tank team. Launch is around 5:00 pm PT, but the team usually fills fast. Meet up on the wall north of Synaspe in Skyway if interested

We started with seven, but lost one just before the LFG attempt to jump to start, so six of us finished a +2/7 in an hour.  Grand time and a couple of levels, more for the un-incarnated.  Did have an error getting started (said one of the team couldn't join), so our time included hoofing it to Striga.

LGTF was really smooth and fun run. Great team, and good work all, good stuff!

 

In regards to the Dec 30th Hami:

Holds - at least one as a power (secondary power best, Epic/Patron next best, Temp Powers - Golden Rings, Taser Dart (starting power, you can switch to it from vendor), other hold powers next best (Feel free to mention other options, temps, etc..).  Any or all previously mentioned, even better, as Tankers power sets are not saturated with holds, and Green Mitos historically have been our biggest challenge at this event.

 

Ranged - For taking down the Blue Mitos, with a few 2ndry sets offering these, ranged attacks will come from Epics/Patrons and Temp powers. Again the more the merrier as cycle times on these powers for Tanks are not usually fast.

 

Bring a flight pack, or have the ability to fly. Jumping up to mitos is a pita. 

 

Incarnate powers we'll discuss a bit and post what we come up with. We need to work out how/who will be Tanking Hami for us (as mentioned the raid will be on Torch this time - PLV, you up for being Hami bait?). If you want the opportunity to stand toe-to-toe with Hami while you're fellow Tanker do all the hard work, let us know.

SnS - we usually get enough for one Tank team, but we'd love to have more (I'd love fielding more than one Tanker team at this event (which I think we've managed once so far...Ronin correct me if I'm wrong).

Feel free to join the TankHQ channel (/chan_join tankhq), or request an invite at one of the events. If you'll be touring with us from server to server (single Tank, or rolling new ones) ask to join the TankHQ SG.

If I'm available and on, sure.  Got a couple of options...having a couple league-mates with Barrier helps, as well.  We usually travel for New Years', but I carry along a gaming laptop, so should be OK.  (Especially since CoH will run on a toaster with dial-up)

Does Barrier help? I thought Hami damage was unresistable (hence the EoEs (special resistance for all ATs). I know Ageless helps with recharge, and have heard that Rebirth and Clarion (?) are beneficial as well. I know MsA has the breakdown on this. I'll see if I can talk with them. They specialize in Hami raids.

Let's not gamble on our Hami bait DC'ing or worse during the raid. We'll see if someone else is crazy enough to take it on. I expect to see you there, just because you're not getting blasted every "x" number of seconds, is no excuse for you not to show. ;)

It was a full night of tanking on Everlasting tonight, with many new faces and first timers. Three teams running with thanks to @Oterra for taking the mission team lead and @PLVRIZR for running a regular Manticore TF. The electric melee challenge ran a Manticore as well, thanks to @MsAligned for taking the lead on that. 

 

Next week TT will be on Indomitable and will continue with the Stone Armor challenge set. I'm fairly certain most are done the TFC for that so we will start work on the Dimensional Warder badge by running Tina Mac's arc.   

For other tanks, the Moonfire TF and Market Crash trial are the WST. Meet up in Kings Row at 6:00 pm PT / 9:00 pm ET.

We had one of the most enjoyable TTs, in recent memory, last night.  Eight completely overpowered (albeit exemplared) tanks ripped through a +2/8 Manti in 55 minutes, with only one defeat (won't say who got distracted and dropped unexpectedly).  One of our team also noted that there were no duplicate power sets, so the mayhem was quite varied.

A good night on Tanking on Indomitable today. We had 3 teams running with a Market Crash lead by CyberSmasher  aka @Nattuo being run for the 50+ tankers. and @Warboss running a Moonfire TF for the Stone Armor Challenge tankers. The late comers and stragglers joined me running Tina Macintyre missions where we took out an alternate universe Clockwork King, started the war against the Praetorian Clockwork, and beat up a rogue Adamastor. 

 

Next week, September 2nd, we will return to Excelsior. 6:00 pm PT / 9:00 pm ET. Meet up in Kings Row by the IP gate. 

Numina, Katie Hannon and Dr Aeon TFs will be the WST so plan accordingly.

This will also be the start of the next challenge set. Energy Aura for the Primary, any secondary. Make a fresh tank, try and keep it to under level 5 for the start.

So what is the plan for the start of the challenge? Are we doing the standard DFB x2, then Posi1&2? I recall someone mentioning going old school and doing the Frostfire arc, but don't recall if that was a legitimate possibility, or just the typical random tossing out of ideas.

We were discussing this the other day... I'm a fan of running missions up to Frostfire range, or the DFB track to Frostfire, then TFs at the appropriate levels. But, we were a bit concerned that it might becoming a too standard for our challenges. So, the other option is mission arcs up to TF levels. 

 

Also remember xp boosts mess with the leveling missions/options.

 

What would you like to do? Let us know, we're open to suggestions and options.

Big fun and a busy time to start off September for Tanker Tuesday on Excelsior tonight. We had 5 teams running with many thanks to Fate's Captain @ultraamann for running the Numina Taskforce, and to Captain-Crusader - @Patriotic American and Bonnie Balderdash @PapaSlade for running mission teams. PapaS apparently did his best to ensure his teammates got most of their Debt badges completed. 

There were also two teams running on the Energy Aura Tank challenge with @PLVRIZR and @Warboss leading those teams each through a DFB and then through the Hollows to finish the night beating up Frostfire. I think most got to the 14-15 range so Energy Aura challenge will continue Oct 7th on Excel when Synapse is the WST. If you missed out on the start you have time to get a new Energy Aura tank to 15 to join with us next month.

 

This Saturday, September 6th, we have our run on Victory. Meet up in Kings Row, 10:00 am PT / 1:00 pm ET. Numina and Katie will still be the WST or we can continue with the Dark Astoria arc run.

 

Next Tuesday, September 9th we will be on Torch. Dr Kahn & Cavern of Transcendence will be the WST. Usual place and time for that.

We had a good time, albeit a bit of a grind and some last-minute shuffling of teams in the League.  MANY thanks to @Warboss for handling that task as I was quick to give him the star back, once he arrived at the scene (which was already hopping, a good 25 minutes before the usual start time).

 

It had been many moons since I had run Frostfire, so thanks to everyone re-educating me about Officer WIncott and Flux 🙂.  Then @wittylibrarian fulfilled the usual destiny by falling first 😆.  We were running a +0/8, but lost two members in the last two missions, so fought through waves of Outcasts, with a small but mighty team of six.  Quite satisfying to drop FF, after an almost two hour slog (for the entire night, the final mish and "arrest" of Frostfire was only about 10-12 min.).

 

I think most of us ended at 13 or 14, so would be willing to organize a out-of-cycle TT event to run Posi1 and Posi2, in preparation to next month's Synapse, if there's enough interest.  Maybe Sunday night?

As PLV's and Ronin's posts reflect, we had a great turnout on Excel last night, and due to the number of participants, and in an attempt to get things rolling, I didn't have much time to welcome everyone. So, "Welcome one and all to Tanker Tuesdays". We had many new comers and we're still getting returning players to event, which always enheartens me. It's good to see so many people interested in the event. I hope you all got to experience the crush of Tanks plowing into mobs and the general chaos that ensues (the best part of the event). I'd like to further thank all the team leads for taking on the task of keeping our event running. Remember, Tanker Tuesday is a player-run event. Without your participation the event would not be what it's become! 

 

We've noticed that with the larger turnouts that start times and organizing the event can be slow. We're working to resolve some of the bottlenecks (Thank you for your patience in advance) with that, by pre-establishing team leads, and by assigning some new rolls to some of our current event TT staff. @Agoogalaand @Xterra have agreed to handle welcomes as well as give overviews of how TT works and get folks invited to the TankHQ channel and SG as needed, while the league leaders get the teams organized. This will help cut down on some of the side conversations that the event coordinators get involved with at the start of the event and allow us to get players into the channel and SG prior to things kicking off. And, with a little luck, help get teams formed faster so there's more time for Tanking!
