So between corruptor, defender, controller, what is good? I will primarily team, so I'm fine with controllers not doing a lot of damage if they control well.
MetaVileTerror Posted September 25, 2019 Posted September 25, 2019 Darkness Control has your standard single-target Immobilize, single-target Hold, and AoE Immobilize for its first three Powers, but with the added benefit of -To-Hit on affected enemies. Then it gets interesting. A Confuse, which are moderately rare'ish still. Some Fear, which is nice. Some pets which do more Fear, which stacks. An ultimate pet which does even MORE Fear . . . sensing a theme? But to balance that, the version of Dark Miasma for Controllers isn't Miasma, but instead Affinity. They dropped the Fear Power from there, and added an AoE Endurance Modifier. So, overall . . . yeah, Dark/Dark Control is pretty awesome!

It also grants some resistances and, unusually, the +Def is powerboostable. It's not perma without a bit of IOing but reasonably easily done. It's quite like a Fortunas Mindlink. Soul Drain is a PBAOE which hits both alive and dead enemies. For each hit you and every ally near you gets get +Regen and+Recovery. It's a bit like Drain Psyche, but AOE and works off defeated enemies as well. (technically Fade replaces the Fear and Soul Drain replaces the hold) Dark Affinity is amazing. Coyote Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 Dark/Dark is a very strong combination. Due to how strong it is defensively, you should slot aggressively for damage in the Hold and Immobilize powers, probably in Fearsome Stare, and in Heart of Darkness.
