Its a term I'm not familiar with either and I was birthed in the early 70s. Of course, I tended to ignore things related to drugs since I wasn't interested in "altering my perception of reality". I've always preferred being in full control of my faculties. If I didn't pay attention to the drug scene, I wouldn't be even remotely tempted by the drug scene. Therefore, I am less than knowledgeable about things pertaining to the drug scene from any time period. This is all just my preference and opinion and what all. YMMV.
