I couldn't help myself, so, rather than play the game, I played Mids'! Some differences: Higher Recharge: Is it overkill? I'm not sure, but I put force feedback in Soaring Dragon and Golden Dragonfly, one of them should proc, but with the procs turned off, still has perma-Hasten. Divine Avalanche only helps with Melee and Lethal Defenses. I think this works better with a secondary that is chasing positional DEF, or as a way to give RESIST sets some splash of DEF. We aren't doing that with Energy Aura, so I swapped it for Flashing Steel, a decent cone with better damage. Smashing and Lethal Defenses are not as good as the above builds, but still 51% Smashing and Lethal. Are the other DEF are good enough? I'm not sure. Smashing & Lethal Resists are 63%, REGEN 328%, Recharge 171%, not including procs and other gimmicks. Occasionally, RECH could get as high as 370%(!) Overall DMG is better. This build is VERY expensive. 4 purple sets, 2 Winter Sets, 1 ATO set. This is where 50% of the RECH bonus lives. Plus all the other cool things those sets do. Should I bother with Celerity in Sprint? I did 2-slot to give me 2.25% S/L Resist. Werner Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 I would guess that it's there as a buffer for defense debuffs. If you're 10% over the incarnate soft cap with 65% defense dubuff resistance, you have a buffer of almost 30% before you drop below the incarnate soft cap.

Kinetic Shield, Power Shield and Entropic Aura all offer some kind of DEF DEBUFF mitigation. In the build I posted above I tried to get better REC, but I don't know if it's worth it?

Any suggestions on this build for what should be changed? Negative and Psionics seem like pretty big, common holes. If S/L Defense is soft-capped, is a 63% S/L Resist "Good Enough?" How would this build compare to a Scrapper or a Tank?

Linea Posted October 13, 2020 Author Posted October 13, 2020 icap is 59%. the majority of -ddr comes from M/SL sources (not all, but most). For the very high-end content you want an effetive buffer of 20+ defense (a single hit can debuff 20+), and you want at least moderate resists to give you a reaction time buffer. I use the above build to solo 801.5 and 801.f +4x8 very very comfortably, with the only thing more durable being an SD/RadM tank. (Solo, +4x8, 801.5 or higher, teamed with any external buffs at all things will change, lower difficulty content and things change.) This is the build that demonstrates why /Ena hasn't been ported to tanks 'yet'. I was soloing 50+1x8 Rikti at level 13ish. Not purposefully, but it happened so I just rolled with it, was slightly surprised, then dug in for a good fight. Actual in-combat numbers for the build are insane ... Full Tier 4 Incarnate, Rune/Hybrid/Rune, Demonic, and all the other goodies ... DDR can still be an issue, and you can still cascade fail, at least minimal caution should be used around debuff heavy mobs. You can absolutely still die, even with this build, especially in 801 content. (but you could probably afk council, and other easy content) there's another post somewhere with even more info: AE 801 (link) is a variety of missions for fun and challenge, and is designed for a team of 5+ Incarnates. Just search '801' in AE. 801 Difficulty Varies: 801.0 Easy, ..., 801.2 Standard*, ..., 801.5 Moderate**, ..., 801.6 Hard***, ..., 801.7 Four Star****, ... 801.F Death.
