ninja surprise Posted November 27, 2019 Posted November 27, 2019 (edited) Conditions: In base with Salvage rack storage open. Count the number of Catalysts in storage. Have one Catalyst in inventory Do the Enhancement catalyze thing The wizard says 100% chance of success; hit Combine - wizard kinda grays out/pauses; click Exit Enhancement is unmodified; Catalyst is gone from inventory; Salvage rack Catalyst inventory has increased by 1 If you do this with more than 1 Catalyst in your character's inventory the combination will succeed but 1 Catalyst will be consumed and 1 Catalyst will be sent to the Salvage rack. maleficent Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 I appreciate you tagging me in this, but as I previously stated, I did not have the bin open while trying to slot the catalyst. This does not solve or answer my concern. Thank you.
Razia Posted December 21, 2019 Posted December 21, 2019 Had the same happen too me. Thanks for finding the reason out.
UltraAlt Posted May 19, 2021 Posted May 19, 2021 It indeed does lock-up and drop the catalyst back in the storage bin if the salvage window is open. Catalyst not attuning. Attunning fail. Catalyst issue. If someone posts a reply quoting me and I don't reply, they may be on ignore. (It seems I'm involved with so much at this point that I may not be able to easily retrieve access to all the notifications) Some players know that I have them on ignore and are likely to make posts knowing that is the case. But the fact that I have them on ignore won't stop some of them from bullying and harassing people, because some of them love to do it. There is a group that have banded together to target forum posters they don't like. They think that this behavior is acceptable. Ignore (in the forums) and /ignore (in-game) are tools to improve your gaming experience. Don't feel bad about using them.
srmalloy Posted November 10, 2023 Posted November 10, 2023 As an addendum to the manifestation of this bug, it occurs when you have any storage object open in a base when you are applying a catalyst to an IO; however, only in the case of a Salvage Rack will the bug put the catalyst in the storage object -- for other storage objects, it will not go into the object, and you will see an error message saying that you can't put Enhancement Catalyst into that storage object. So it appears to be a bug with the open storage object trying to take control of the catalyst when it is 'put in motion' by using it on an IO.
