Snarky Posted December 28, 2019 Posted December 28, 2019 I would love some help here. I use a Razer mouse and a razer keypad for all my gaming. The keypad has 20 keys on it all available for keybonds plus targeting/jumping/moving. The mouse i use for moving mostly though with turning looking hot buttons for direction etc. what i do not use. Is the F-ing cursor. And that bad boy get lost on a giant monitor in a huge team battle. so when i go to fire iff a location AoE i hit the keybound button...and start the cursor hunt. Even jf i just used it it is gone again. Unless i am doing chain loc AoE then its fine. But fire off a coupke ST and want another loc AoE. Hunt is on again so. Is there a way to either center/dedault location the cursor. And/or default lication the AoE to straight ahead if me max distance at my altitude/on the floor? thanks for any input 1
siolfir Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 A bind for powexeclocation will give you some options. I use powexeclocation target a lot with powexeclocation self for the team transporter, but you can also set direction and distance.
Haijinx Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 The bind approach turns it into a targetted AOE, which is way easier to live with.
Snarky Posted December 29, 2019 Author Posted December 29, 2019 This is very useful information. It appears to be exactly what i am looking for. Thanks now i do not know how to use it i want to set up 2 variations. 1). Drop Blizzard on someones head. Hiw do i bind this? Do not say /powexec_location target Blizzard. Where is the key bind in that? I am not typing it out each time i would rather hunt the cursor lol the second variation is just max range directly in front of me. For when things arent cooperating. Again my confusion here is where does the keybind go in this? Sorry i am new to key binds. I use exactly 1. About 10-20 times per toon. /bind x “pow_exec_name brawl”. And that is the sum total of my keybind knowledge. So i look at the command and do not comprehend where the ‘key x” argument fits again thanks
Lost Ninja Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 To turn Blizzard into a Targeted AoE you can bind it with: /bind <key> "powexec_location target Blizzard" Or create a macro (a button that fits into a tray slot): /macro Blz "powexec_location target Blizzard" /macro_image "IceBlast_Blizzard" "M: Blizzard" "powexec_location target Blizzard" The 2nd of these creates a macro that looks like the Blizzard Icon. Macros don't show cooldowns, timers or proper tooltips (M: Blizzard) is the tooltip. To create Blizzard at max range use the above but replace "target" with "0:max". 0 is the direction, 0 being in front, 180 being behind etc. "max" is the range from you, "max" will fire it off as far from you as you can. If you want it as PBAoE instead you could use "self" instead.
