BrandX Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 (edited) Is there a better one? Is it strictly on build? In this case, it's DB/Elec. Edited January 13, 2020 by BrandX
Krazie Ivan Posted January 13, 2020 Posted January 13, 2020 for /Elec, you should already be at/near the Res cap for SLENFCP ...so Melee Core wouldn't add anything more than +Regen to your overall build stats (aside from Tox Res). Radial would help boost Def along with the +Regen.
BrandX Posted January 13, 2020 Author Posted January 13, 2020 Oh. You know, I forgot to mention, I meant Assault Hybrid. *Sigh*
Bill Z Bubba Posted January 13, 2020 Posted January 13, 2020 General rule I've been following is this: AT Damage Mod 1 or higher, go with Core. AT Damage Mod less than 1, go with Radial. Rule seemed to hold up under pylon testing with various alts. 1

Core for your AT & 2ndary (not a heavy click set) ...unless you have very few attacks, and/or so poor Rech as to have gaps, and/or very poor End ratio as to necessitate rationing attack speed regularly. (thx to Uber)

Does this hold up for Brutes as well, as aren't they lower the Mod 1 (which is just Scrappers, Stalkers, Blasters, Veats, Dominator (melee only or maybe range is close enough to 1, and Sentinels)?

What I do NOT know is whether this at all holds true in normal gameplay with AoEs against hordes of our enemies. 1
Krazie Ivan Posted January 13, 2020 Posted January 13, 2020 certain out-sized AoEs, esp with Mez or other factors that buck the traditional dmg/rech ratio (TW is calculated w/o Monentum), will prefer Core. but yeah, Radial usually for Brutes. 1
Extor Prime Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 Here's how it worked out for me. Do you spend a lot of time at or near do damage bonus cap? Radial. Example: brute. Do you spend most of your time way below the damage bonus cap AND have a fast attack chain? Core. Example: illusion controller. Conventional wisdom suggests radial, but your attack chain is very fast and you have no issues having six stacks of bonus all the time. Do you have a slow attack chain? Radial. You will have better return from a damage proc than from inconsistent number of bonuses. 1
