Anyone Tried Elec/Fire?

Called myself looking through this forum to find mentions/discussions of the Electric/Fire Brute, but missed 'em if they were there. I have lots of toons of all sorts, including farmers (SS/Fire, Rad/Fire, Spines/Fire). I've been thinking of possible farmer combos that I haven't tried (variety in farmer choice helps combat boredom, and lord how the money rolls in). I'll monkey with Pines, but I'm not the sharpest balloon when it comes to builds. Have any of you tried this combo? Did you like it, hate it, yawned, and why? Got a link to a build?

I found electric melee to not have much damage output. I ended up shelving my elect/elect brute. Maybe for farming try fire/fire, stone/fire, spines/ice. I only recommend ice secondary because of it's amazing job at holding aggro.

The damage output was lacking due to no FE and no Burn, not because of your primary.  That being said, Elec does have some issues for farming.  Yes Lightning Rod is a great power but it is not up all the time.  When you are waiting for the recharge you are mainly left with Thunder Strike which has a small radius compared to sets like Spines, Rad and Fire.

@tripthicket Did you ever have any luck with this? I'm taking a shot at it now and would love to see any builds you may have come up with XD I really want to make it work.

@VonLightning  I made an Elec/Fire Brute for fun (PVE content) and occasional farming.  The fun factor is there and I enjoy playing the toon.  As mentioned above, Elec Melee may not be the best for fast damage output for farming, but it still does ok.  I still prefer farming with my Ice/Fire/Fire Blaster.  

 

My Elec/Fire Brute's build is below.  It's probably not the best for farming anyway.  And it certainly is a low cost / cheap build (no AT/Event IOs or purples).  It might be better if I did a high-cost build.  Maybe I'll tinker around in Mids with one.
