The Pros and Cons of Using Katana/Bio Tanker

Definitely worth it. You can slot both -res procs in your single target attacks, and combined with Bio armor -res aura, become a force multiplier for your team. Other combos can do the same, but few can pull it off with as much style as katana.

The only odd thing with a weapon-based set, it sometimes do get stuck in a redraw animation dispite putting them all on 'no redraw', happens on my rad/staff and bio/BS, wich can sometimes be annoying specialy if you use clickies from your bio set alot (shield, heal, T9 regenheal etc).

How many slots do I need to put In kat/bio? I'm trying to make sure that I don't lose the opportunity to be powerful. What are the recommended enhancements?

In the absence/interim of a tanker bio build, you may be able to get some ideas from the scrapper Bio builds in the scrapper forums.

They roll around the same 'style' as Axe, mace and katana, you got a nice melee def buff (nice to focus on, since Bio base is typed defense on element), AoE has a dot, headsplitter hits so lovely hard. Specialy axe, mace and BS share alot of animations, its kinda your personal preference wich you like more (like i dont really like the stun of mace).

I tend to like Axe slightly better, since you can slot 2 powers with +rech proc (the cone and aoe) wich slightly suit Bio bit more with the 3 clickies.

So, I'm guessing not that many people use Bio on Tankers or do you want me to show you what I have so far? Maybe If I really want to get the most bang for my buck Kat/bio scrapper is the way to go?

I don't think there have been a lot of Bio tanker builds recently?

There have been tons of Bio Scrapper builds though.

Alright, I'll use that as a reference and maybe give a kat/bio scapper a try sometime later.

Tank has a far easier time to hit resist cap with evolving armor (think Inv def style), there are a few brute bio builds out there with a solid base (75-80% SL), i'm really not a min/max builder but its not hard to wrap up a nice base for a tank on Bio. I love the offensive mode to ditch out a bit more damage.

I think there are some brute ones around that are quite solid (though bit overdone on resist, since tank got higher base).
