Please Critique Savage/Shield with THREE Charge Attacks

Please share any suggestions and/or changes for this Savage Melee/Shield Defense Brute.  I really like charging attacks, and wanted to get the maximum number of them available.  I think three is the magic number.  Savage Leap from Savage Melee, Shield Charge from Shield Defense, and Spring Attack from the Leaping Power Pool.

Not using the ATOs feels like a mistake.  Slotting fury into maiming slash for the fury boost or having the other ATO slotted in for the constant recovery boost (shield sucks end) could be useful.  Also if you could fit a achilles proc in the cone or savage charge it would be a good way to offset lethal resists in mobs.

So, I would proc out all the AoE teleport attacks and then I changed some other stuff to give more recharge. You are still at softcap, but now you have a lot more AoE damage and you traded super speed for grant cover because it is the only useful buff a brute has for the team in the game I think.

Thanks...just gave quick look at your reply and build, will take more time in a little while.   Dang!  You made a few changes!   
One thing immediately though is I never take Grant Cover, similarly I never take Taunt for my Brutes.  If it was a Tanker, yes, I would definitely take Taunt and likely Grant Cover.  I have my own, possibly skewed, outlook of differences between brute and tanker roles.
Filling the AOEs with procs eliminates the set bonuses,  Inexperience on MY part beckons me to ask is that good?  Inexperience again, there are no accuracy enhances in the AOEs, so it's a hit what you hit sort of thing?
And, Brawl is now a thing!

So you absolutely do need to worry about accuracy. I stupidly forgot to check. I made some changes that switched out grant cover for tactics to help this out and slotted a kismet IO. You are now at 89% acc rating with the AOEs to +3s (I assume you'll take an alpha. Yes, filling with procs eliminates the set bonuses, but you gain so much damage its incredibly worth it. Brawl is not a power to use as much as it is a set bonus I want and I had the slots.

Kismet, tactics and your other acc bonuses gets you to 89% chance to hit +3s. I am not thrilled with this, I wish it was 95%, but this is about as good as I can get it without making proc sacrifices. You could start 4 slotting Lotg, but then you'd lose out on other things.

 

The only other thing I notice in your build is that you have shred and I personally don't like it. You'll need to use shred to fill out your attack chain, which will work, but I'm also not thrilled about.

If you like spring attack that is cool. it is a very subpar power though.

procs in spring attack and shield charge roll with very low probability. Up to you whether you want procs or set bonuses in those powers.

Procs in savage leap are an absolute must have.

I chose as many charging attacks as possible, along with Leaping power pool for a concept.  There is no FROG head in the costume creator for the Leap Frog character I had in mind, so I settled with this, Robo-Bunny.

So, now I'm with the decision to use procs or sets in Spring Attack and Shield Charge due to low probability to hit.  Accuracies in the sets would definitely raise the hit probability, but procs bring all their steamy goodness If/when they hit.
Would slotting sets screw things up?
Already have a set of Armagedden in another power, but 4-slotting Obliterations in SP and/or  SC would give a +9% accuracy set bonus in each, and allow 2 procs.  Some proc sacrifices would have to be made.
No/Yes?

Or we can lose some regen (4 HP/s) in exchange for having our procs and using them too. ^_^

MY response and questions for you are genuine.  I appreciate criticism and suggestions as I learn more of the building process and its nuances.

I see a lot of people not take Grant Cover and it’s ridiculous. It’s added defense debuff and your only recharge debuff resist in the set outside of IOs. It’s end cost is negligible for what it gives you. All my /Shield builds have 75% debuff resistance to defense and slows because of it. It isn’t essential, but the difference between a build that does take it vs. a build that doesn’t is huge, especially in end game content where defense debuffs are plenty.
