Pyrul Posted March 25, 2020 Posted March 25, 2020 (edited) Hi Stalker brethren, After finishing and tricking out a concept build BS/Regen Stalker a few months ago (much to my glee at the end result), it's now time for another Stalker! I've decided on Ice/Rad. Was a difficult choice because /Ice looks great as well but once again concept trumps potential logic 😛 . Any who, going through these forums there's really only 1 short thread related to the combo so if anything i hope this will ignite people's passion for odd/rare combinations. In short what i'm looking for is some advice in slotting and potentially power picks as the last 10 levels i've struggled to pick things that weren't mule powers. I'm open to suggestions especially around /Soul and /Leviathan. This heavily resistance based set has me a little stumped on reaching and sort of def caps... Looking forward to chatting 🙂 Villain Plan by Mids' Reborn : Hero Designer 2.6.0.7https://github.com/ImaginaryDevelopment/imaginary-hero-designer Click this DataLink to open the build! SeraphimKensai Posted March 25, 2020 Posted March 25, 2020 You really want to damage proc out Radiation Therapy as well. It's another nuke, and one that can be used in Posi/Synapse level range. I prefer soul on my scrappers/stalkers due to shadow Meld, which would help you as a rad armor since you'll be primarily resistance based, you can get the downtime reasonable. 1
Hjarki Posted March 25, 2020 Posted March 25, 2020 Frost: I wouldn’t put Ragnarok here. You really want range increases here, which only come from the standard Uncommon IO sets. Ice Patch: Personally, I think this power is a bit silly on a Stalker. I can’t imagine ever using it. Freezing Touch: You should really have Hecatomb in at least one of your powers. I’d also strongly recommend taking an Epic/Patron Pool with a snipe. With Experienced Marksman, there’s really no reason not to use a Snipe as part of your single target rotation. 1
Sgt. Terminus Posted March 25, 2020 Posted March 25, 2020 Be silly, keep Ice Patch, it is signature Ice Melee power and very useful for even a Stalker. Need a "Oh Crap" button when you do something stupid? Ice Patch! What to prevent runners? Ice Patch! (You will be wanting to take on x8 groups with all the great AOE of Ice and runners are very annoying". Want to setup a choke point for your group to be even more efficient? Ice Patch. 50+ Vet levels on my Ice/Bio Stalker and a level 50 Ice Melee will all over melee AT's, there is no such thing as too much Ice patch! The other advice I would give and to me this comes down to Theory Crafting Builds vs the actual experience in game. With your slotting for Assassin's Ice Sword and the Agility Alpha, you have 118.85 % recharge slotted. This gives your Hide proc a 72.5% as opposed to the max being 90%. For me, there is nothing more important and fun to see when playing a Stalker then that Hide proc going off. More Hides, more Crits! So to do this, you want to lower your recharge in that power to 67.56% or lower to have a 90% chance (check my math, I may have missed something). You can do this by breaking your Guile set into two sets of 3, leaving the Hide proc and the other minimal recharges in Assassin's and put the other 3 in Frost (with some Dam/Range mentioned above) or Frozen Aura. In the end you will get a benefit of having additional S/L Def from the split and an opening for the Hecatomb proc in Assassin's Ice Sword along with other damage procs. 1
Pyrul Posted March 26, 2020 Author Posted March 26, 2020 So this is just preliminary/minor changes from the advice above! (and to see if i'm the right track) Appreciate you guys 😄 I still need to trim the fat on some slots to make moonbeam an actual worthwhile attack, but i'm currently sitting at 51% Def (with the maneuvers/ice patch swap). Again, just prelim. Thinking about it i could probably swamp out shadow meld if necessary for ice patch because i wouldn't lose any slots. Can't think of anything else to loose other than maneuvers (provided my slotting is smarter to reach softcap s/l def. Defensive slotting seems to be fine though? i figured i would replicate similar slotting to /Invul and it's probably the closest comparison slotting wise. The build does seem tight for slots so im hoping if my defensive slots are right on then i can just focus on my attacks as you've all pointed out 🙂 | Copy & Paste this data into Mids' Reborn : Hero Designer to view the build | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| |MxDz;1469;682;1364;HEX;| |78DA6594494F136118C7DFE94C594A2B6BD9694B5B28B450A97A3746D4A0D4101A7| |1B9340D8CD050696D8B82CBC1BB2688265E5CBF8047A37E0AD7931FC015F5A68962| |7D3AFF7FE1309394DF3BFF677FDED2E4DAA4FBE9B11B0795E6399CCB944AE954399| |35B368B0DC9D572A69CCDAFE84A9E7AF974D1924E9A39D38C4FCD9B38F96BFAA479| |DE5C2999F1D9CC42D60A4D1F2A5EC817956B269FCFC55305D35C705BC7693353C8A| |E2C36D75E16CC6269295BF058EF47B38B4B65B1F61C2964E7E3B5DCA9FC6A2E9DCC| |94CA6671BD5B9A89C8A750FD633D15A75A33944A18CA5827AF80AEABA0FB1A791D9| |CADC66A56AC4379354B739CD0C16D91070C95121F0D3EBAE69343C4506D21B02348| |0E822F4695D2E1ABE96165E54904C0976273C2E674BE420DD73BB0EE3DD89056569| |E8665C4D4C51C162F46B0FC6A6CFD1BF8EE794BBE065B9E21A6E539D8F6117A4802| |1B11AB1A3F20DF9CE46BE24C4D9C25C459429C31CC994E89AF87BE1EFA86E91BA6E| |F307D3BA55633E76FE63E231D60ABD85A6153ADB469A2B5B3B7F65EF47D5AEA7995| |CB9AD5DB8E193ABD6407D87D1373F836C0C02D50977C5DDC7157F520F7D7BD8F7BA| |8F5CADE87394B84BD5F92BA3DDC71CF06BE1FBDB7C94DB0FF0E7917F44DA1EE1989| |ED63DDBE2DD48B7C0247BF919FC1E817F22B5892D801D4D50662D8818FBC2C363F7| |BF2DF47CDC003F22138F8887C4C3E01CF4A6C90B1C13FE873FC2FB8779BFC4756C0| |84424FE7247608B1FA10F7351600C7FD24F766C8CE4778E723BCD751DE79750531D| |E6FAC228FFAED562A4E254EEFA064986086094E9E20FB8C9DFFEE4AFFEEB9FA2AD9| |A23665C2A6246CCA7E9B72C0A64CDB9419833F15A26896D2D8A294CEDEB65C3BBF1| |2B4FED8551CDA20F63A368789C78E6377DF6D513F77154DBB875B896E82BF3A05B0| |554E4677365BF90FEB76EDE9| |-------------------------------------------------------------------|

SeraphimKensai Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 (edited) Do you anticipate getting much out of Meltdown? I still think Shadow Meld might be more useful especially to delay any cascading defense failure due to not having any DDR. You can get it to have like a 10-12 second downtime, so it can definitely help from fighting defense debuffers. For Incarnates, Musculature, Degenerative, Either Barrier or Clarion (ageless will effect your proc rate on ground zero and rad therapy, Clarion gains usefulness with Shadow Meld), any judgement or lore you like, Assault. I still think Shadow Meld might be more useful especially to delay any cascading defense failure due to not having any DDR. You can get it to have like a 10-12 second downtime, so it can definitely help from fighting defense debuffers. I might test both out and see which fits my playstyle better. An extra "oh shit" button definitely doesn't hurt! And you're absolutely right about the def debuffers. So we'll see 🙂 I appreciate it!
