Super0Fluffy
Wanted to know if there is indeed a way to make this work. I've tried a few times to remake this and still cant make it work. My builds are a lost cause so I'm asking you the forums for help. Any thoughts and suggestions are welcome.
Banana Man
There's probably no better secondary for energy blast, so, it can totally work! What issues are you having?

What issues are you having? It's mostly trying to find the balance. End to Damage ratios mostly because I'm in a spot where I've picked a few powers that were not slotted right, at least that's what it feels like to me. I wind up running out of End in mid fight, or I have more than enough but I'm doing pitiful damage. Plus power choices. Normally I don't use blasters, more of a melee player, so this is new to me. I've tried slotting my blaster with some of the powers I would typically pic for a scrapper or brute, fighting and leadership, but again I'm not sure if it should be applied to a blaster. ninja surprise
What level are you? If you're not at level 22 using level 25 SO/IOs with an EndRedux in each attack you're still just going through growing pains. /Fire eventually gets an endurance recovery power, then things get easier.

Banana Man
Early game or before you're tricked out with IOs, your core powers are probably gonna be -cauterizing aura (sustain, free damage) -fire sword circle (big damage aoe) -combustion (wide aoe) -energy torrent (fast cast aoe, you can use explosive blast if you're having trouble getting torrent to hit enough targets, but it's a slower cast for roughly the same damage, though with a higher target cap and bigger aoe) -burn -consume can probably help with end You're basically an aoe machine. Once you hit 50, start getting IOs and incarnates, you can proabably start running hot feet for even more free aoe damage, slot burn with the -resist proc, do good single target damage with the snipe, procced out burn, and fire sword (power burst is pretty bad, dps wise). I'd slot the KB to KD IO in your energy blast AoEs. Explosive blast might be better than combustion at that point, especially if you have a high recharge build. I threw this together real fast and it's not perfect, I also haven't made a PvE build in like a year, but here's a decent all-around pve build. 45ish% def to the common damage types, 50% damage bonus to all once you get the passive from assault hybrid, roughly 100% recharge before hasten once you get the passive from ageless. I'd recommend degen for interface. | Copy & Paste this data into Mids' Reborn : Hero Designer to view the build | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| |MxDz;1481;680;1360;HEX;| |78DA6D945B4F13511485CF69A7624B0B85520A72B32D142C306D01355E4954F0019| |A10497C6D8676522621EDA414B51A4DFC07DE12135B2EEA8BA8F1171113E39389A0| |EF04EBEEACDD42AC934EBF9975F63E7B9D7D6626F9E096FBCBEDA7B3427A6EAE69E| |BEBA91BF45FD40B8EA49635D2A276B4D0D9C772EA8E96CBEA19752EA717B2250407| |EB63CB1BA6992F14D579A3A0A7925ACE3037D6B4A291CF09D7523EBFA62E9BBA9E7| |15B978BBA661AB96C57FD26A317D6570D33B5A217358F25CE1BD9D52285F4CE9946| |5AAD97486AE9DAD4B5EB520FF91AA5F3A2A81F55FAD121EE1D2B8AF8A00891700AD| |B2EF323A87C024F7D06EF53B4448E43BEB163AC0C9EAE303741D716731B0C518BEC| |C895F67181F999611A73B03BC79ECDD22E71576BB55AA6A0B9A7C1C119F0EC79E60| |530F11D3EB5A8104E89F99C7E69692BA4B5B2D61A44DD34691EEE81670B73746E83| |FD3BCCB75CF31D28C9543B7B6DB73A6927A50333CB8E29ACB63340C200AD90C67C1| |8B3F9D8499797D9055EA5513FBBF0EFA24A7799E82356C089F7BC42767385A2039C| |139880D69360AADC9518188C838F28BA97BDF41ED82C7F677E30F7C187B5E718F3D| |AFBB8F660F9FF1E4A1435C03B3470C8B504D61FFC83FB61AE13E13A919FE02C650D| |B1FFA10A766D62139CDC626E3377C0C7141DE27AA159D4095F439D30D70DB38FE12| |3E665F009658D70EE88C07C11098EDA9876A602461DE0A1578831F4CD31C67B78CE| |C56C65BAC1A887D90676D3FE8FF3B331CEB9B12361F5E03A4185279BFA0DFE637BC| |CAF60869ED0383F6D71CEEF574EBCB9CFE0B1ED39F315E87DC17C090695FAAB5BAD| |2E441BF9D5A8F2EF7721DEA4249A94E92665A649596C529694C6D743484B717A1BD| |F84EABE8B46F9FD9493783F7F1D6B5206D111F75D74E1E064FC18E27F9FD45E63E7| |177C045EF95F24FBEB16| |-------------------------------------------------------------------| Edited April 18, 2020 by Banana Man

At level 24 I would recommend Hasten as your first power pick from the pools. With basic IOs, a Force Feedback +recharge proc or two (one mandatory in Energy Torrent and Explosive Blast) you can practically eliminate most lower level recharge issues. It would put Consume on a quicker timer and help with end issues. Unfortunately, not many low level builds have enough sustain to fuel a barrage of attacks for a long period of time. Energy/Fire is going to be an AoE powerhouse with +recharge procs going off all the time and end heavy AoE attacks being spammed. It’s going to eat your endurance one way or another unless you get an Ageless.

Camel
Here's a build I think I would run if I made this Blaster. Defenses aren't great, but the damage is pretty ridiculous. Proud of my slotting on Cauterizing Aura, Acc, Dmg, Heal and End Mod are all above 80% with some in the red values! Every Attack has a damage proc outside of Cauterizing Aura, Hot Feet and Explosive Blast, the latter of the two having utility procs in knockdown and +recharge. Ring of Fire, Fire Sword and Sniper Blast round out your ST attack chain with the occasional Power Bolt needed for lower levels. AoE is stupid good, I would probably open up with Bonfire + Energy Torrent to knock down the entire mob and begin getting +recharge procs to get your long recharge AoEs off cooldown. Then Nova + Burn + Fire Sword Circle. At this point, the entire mob is probably dead (lets be real, it is dead), BUT, if they aren't, thrown in an Explosive Blast and get even more recharge and rinse and repeat. The whole time that AoE rotation is happening, Cauterizing Aura and Hot Feet are dishing out 100's of damage. Whew... Things will literally melt and flop around like sautéed onions. I went with Sorcery for Rune of Protection to round out some resistance and mez protection. Has a considerable amount of uptime with all the +recharge procs going off. ninja surprise
Forums are funny. OP: I'm level 24 and can't afford SOs. Replies: Here's level 50 builds with every proc, purple, super-rare, and AT IO in the game. Super0Fluffy - if you have some time you can make some money by going into the /ah, look for level 50 - 54 SOs, bid about 10k on 'em, then sell them to the matching origin store for max inf. If you ran TFs go to a merit vendor and trade the merits for enhancement boosters. Those sell for about 1.5 mil. You can also browse the /ah for cheap recipes and sell them to a store (typically bid 1k and sell for 15k, etc) It takes a while, but if you bid in the evening and log back in the next afternoon you'll usually have purchased a lot of stuff to sell, and then you're on the way to cash-flush. Rathulfr
I'll take a stab at a simple starter build that you might try and others can improve upon. This is a "hover blaster" build: all ranged, no melee. It emphasizes hovering up and over your targets to attack them safely from range. This is actually contrary to many */Fire builds, which are more geared toward "blapping" in melee. I'm sure someone else will post a blapper build, at some point. If you want to play a blapper, ignore me completely (LOL). The build below includes SOs and minimum level IOs that offer key procs. I know that you probably can't afford those IOs right now: I just put them there as placeholders for your consideration. Feel free to ignore the IOs and just slot them with the appropriate SOs, instead, until you get some cash and can start buying attuned versions of the IOs. I've got a few of them myself. Unfortunately, I haven't played a */Fire Blaster since retail, so I have no idea how to build one or offer advice on leveling one up. Mine is @JamesNapalm, thanks very much! Edited April 25, 2020 by Super0Fluffy
