I can only choose one of the above for my DP/SR Sentinel. 

 

Any thoughts as to which is better (or better for certain situations anyway)?

MB 100%.  Moves the status protection to the first couple toggles.  Is a click +Absorb.

I can’t think of a single reason to take PB over MB. Like, literally not one. I’m staggered the devs even bothered to leave PB in the set to be honest.

PB lets you stack Mez protection mag with recharge, some dudes want that.

This is true. But why would they want that? I'm not coming up with any cases outside of maybe final Rom's res mez where it would be needed. PvP for more mez resist?

Several incarnate trials have very high mag mezzes. If you want to be self-sufficient for those it can come in handy.
