Surge Protector Posted May 14, 2020 Posted May 14, 2020 As the title suggests, I have installed an Ouro pillar in my base (the operational version), but clicking on it doesn't do anything. Any clues as to what I might be missing?
Dragotect Posted May 14, 2020 Posted May 14, 2020 Have you done the ouroboros initiation arcs (not the incarnate one)? You won't have access to the pillar until you've done one of those if I recall correctly.
Surge Protector Posted May 14, 2020 Author Posted May 14, 2020 Yes, I have access to the other pillars.
Flashtoo Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 Do you have a power source in your base? I believe you need an Arcane Power generator of some sort for the Pillar to function. Character portrait artist for hire, PM for details! Commissions: Closed, Sorry
Surge Protector Posted May 15, 2020 Author Posted May 15, 2020 Yes, I have both tech and arcane powers sources. I assumed it was something along these lines, but I have both tech and arcane teleporters that are working.
Redlynne Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 Okay, you have Power ... do you have Control ... in the same room as the Pillar of Ice and Flame ...? Verbogeny is one of many pleasurettes afforded a creatific thinkerizer.
Eva Destruction Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 I've had this happen. I deleted the pillar, replaced it, and then it worked. No idea what was wrong with the first one. I didn't do anything else, other than delete it and place a new one in the exact same spot. It's been working fine ever since, so I'm just choosing to shrug and chalk it up to the editor being a buggy mess.
ShardWarrior Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 Perhaps a silly question but did you place the active Pillar? I seem to remember there is an inactive one as well.

I deleted it and placed a new one, works just fine now. Thanks for all of the suggestions everyone!
Redlynne Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 It's possible that the first one got placed when the pre-reqs weren't in place and it just "never updated" so it wouldn't work. But then when you delete and replace the pre-reqs are now in place and it does work. Or it could have something to do with ice cream and fairies ...
