Helllo! Just doing some tweaking to my build to get a bit more oomph out of it and to even out my defenses. I'm fairly new to the whole build making thing, so let me know if there are things I should/shouldn't have done and what further adjustments you would suggest.

Let's see here.. I posted a Fire/Dark/Fire Controller build only a few days ago. It's still on the front page. You'll find some good inspiration there from my build. But I'll make a list here for you too!

1. Twilight Grasp is primarily a heal, even on an Illusion Controller, you should slot it with an Accurate Heal set.
2. You forgot to slot the Apocalypse proc.
3. Part way through this list I decided to just adjust your build a little bit.

edit: I tried to keep everything the same. The only big change was I took out Superior Invisibility and swapped it with Combat Jumping. This gave you more defense and can be toggled on at the same time as Hover. It's main function was another LoTG mule, which is why you took Superior Invisibility in the first place, only this mule can be used! I also changed some slotting around to even out defenses/give you better resists. Added some procs to make certain powers hit harder, give you better endurance management, etc. If I made a build from scratch, I could potentially get you some better numbers here, but at the cost of it no longer really being your build. So I opted to take what you wanted and ran with it.

  Here's my ill/dark/soul build that I've had a lot of fun with. Current build has perma PA, fad and soul absorption. It's also at ranged defense soft cap and s/l resist hard cap. Soul can be swapped for fire to get you the same outcome

   The main ones that come to mind are superior invisibility and group invisibility, as shadowfall and a stealth IO works the same and gives you better defenses. Flash, I never really found a use for it due to the long recharge and the fact that everything is usually dead without much worry.........and black hole, yeah.......I don't think I've ever found a use for black hole. With that being said I do usually add superior inv into my builds just to hold a LotG proc.

I'm a relatively new player, pardon my ignorance, but is it realistic to have so many RedFrt? Does it cost a lot? I can see that it is very defensive build, how is its offense? (Because I don't know how to read Mids.)

  Most of the damage will come from your phantom army and your phantasm with your main attack being blind......low levels will be rough with just a single attack, this appears to be an endgame type build. It's very defensive and has high recharge for perma about everything. As for the use of Red Fortune sets, it appears to be from a bonus standpoint to get his build where he wants it to be. With the expense........costly but not over costly with most of the IO's going for 1-2 mil each and the specialty and procs going for 3+ each.

ah yes i hadnt realized you were looking for a low cost type build, but this is an example of how the buld will look end game, leveling like this would be rough, but as a goal to shoot for this is what i would suggest...

 

there are numerous money making guides here on the forums, its far easier than it use to be.  

 

all that aside i have since leveld and build this toon and it is amazing but it lacks AOE damage so solo if you are running high difficulties it can be slow going sometimes as all of your pets want to be on different targets, but you will kill them all and live:)
