 Before getting to the results, I'd like to take a moment for a mea culpa.

 

Before the costume contest started, I was asked a week or so earlier if mythological animals were permissible.  When I answered in the negative (this time, anyway), I didn't inform the event staff sufficiently before the contest started.  That meant that some mythological entries were picked anyway across the servers.  It's not the judges fault, but mine.  I apologize for that outcome, and I'll try to do better in the future for the community.

 

With that in mind, we're still going to distribute the awards to everyone selected below, as the error was on my end, not theirs.

Hi folks~

I play Unicorn Bjorn. Before entering, I only read the initial announcement, not the following thread, so I wasn't aware of any restrictions ahead of time. I was just excited to show off my terminally confused sparkly rainbow creature of doom. He's really not even sure if he's a true unicorn hybrid, but that's a tale for another day. Regardless, I'm not one to want to cause any negativity or hurt feelings, so if need be, I would be totally cool with withdrawing my entry completely. No worries, no hard feelings. Bright Blessings! 😄

Honestly, it's difficult to delineate the difference between someone dressed up as an animal versus one that is dressed up as an animal-related mythological figure. Is that a minotaur or someone dressed up as a cow? My two INF is that we shouldn't have tried to make that delineation in the first place. I was one of the other finalists with you and I adored the costume.
