Help! I have no clue and want to build a /Broadsword Tanker!

I was thinking of Radiation Armor and Broadsword?  Or Shield.   I have messed with mids some, but man I can't seem to figure it out.   I'll attempt to make something, but I was wondering if someone was better in this area.   Any help would be appreciated.  Plan on maybe taking him to End Game maybe,

Are you looking for a leveling build or a post 50 content build?

Post level 50 would be great, is not to selfish maybe a leveling too?  Would be greatly appreciated

If you just want a weapon set for theme, I'd recommend Mace over Broadsword or Axe.  Mace's AOE attacks are smoother and more efficient, and the defense offered by broadsword not all that great.  I have 50s of all three.

Once you've decided on which secondary you're going with it will be easier to help with the build. In general, while leveling, I usually run with level 30-35 common IOs, adding the standard unique and procs at the lowest level I have on hand or can craft/buy. You can start adding the other sets as you get within 3 levels of their max, so if you're going to go with Impervium Armors, you can start at 37 (max on that set is 40), if you go with Unbreakable Guards, you can start at 47 (I actually have a couple sets that I've created at level 35... but not everyone probably does that). After that it depends on how you want to build your toon. I've tried several different builds and they all do pretty well.

I been messing around with some stuff, and I think I wanna go with like a Elec/BS.  Thanks!

Give this a try and see what you think. It's my "base" build for Electric Tanks, and the one I'm currently using on my Elect/Elect. I just subbed Broadsword in and did a few minor changes. The build has a lot of "wiggle room" for customization and you should have slots to play with between Perry, Lightning Field, and Power Sink (at the upper levels you may want to replace PS with something else, I still use it to drain and it works pretty well (Your mileage and playstyle may vary)). Also, I've never really ran Broadsword to the upper levels, so maybe others have additional, optional, better slotting advice for that. But this should give you a good starting point.

Got it to 50, sunk about 150 mil onto it, not all kitted but fun and strong.  I might of found a new main besides my farmer 🙂    It's a fun build, almost really don't need hasten to tell ya the truth

Not on tanker but I've run regen, willpower, shield, elec, rad, and bio w/ broadsword. 

 

BS is slow and end heavy, so i enjoyed it most on elec and willpower to counter that. Not sure how that would work for a tanker. 

 

Shield / BS (scrapper) is fine, but it was just kind of plain and i stripped that character now it just sits empty at 50.

I'm enjoying it, got it finished and all kitte4d out.  It's like a mad electric man wielding a giant knife!  I like it, but I am a strange one.  I mean why not try it?

Not yet, still getting the feel for it, I mean it's solid as is.  I mainly solo and have been happy with the pace and feel.

Tbh, I find it tragic that BS is pretty much a subpar set. Especially given how visually striking and iconic the combo of sword and board is.

If you're going to do your namesake in the game, he's an Invuln/War Mace.
