Procs in non-damaging auras?

Does slotting a proc (like Perfect Zinger's psi damage proc) do anything in non-damaging auras?  Mids lets me slot it in Entropic Aura from energy Aura, but I'm not sure if it actually fires or not.  Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

It does. I tested the perfect zinger in Evasion on my SR tank. Since it still only checks to hit once every 10 seconds, it felt to me like a wasted use of a slot.

Thanks!  I got curious, had some inf to burn, and nothing else is usefully slottable in Entropic Aura, so I gave it a shot and sat in a +4/x8 group to see what it could do.  Entropic Aura supposedly does a check every 2 seconds, but obviously still limited by the "hits 3.5 times per minute" thing.  What's odd is it looks like it has a 2 target max, even when aggro capped.  I never saw it hit more than 2 enemies at the same time.  Completely a useless addition, but hey, couldn't put anything else useful there.

Beta Decay is pretty good for this trick.  My still-leveling Rad/Rad tank has 4 in there: Zinger, <shield breaker I think>, LadyG, and Cloud Senses. Likely not the best use of slots, but fun for giggles.

I think it's the one where it's damage calc was bugged in mids, or maybe the in-game desc was wrong?

 

FWIW:  Mids lists it as 3.5PPM; so basically the common dmg PPM we'd expect.  Most of the lower chance procs are the special effects: Deci Chance for BU is 2PPM, I think Entropic Chance to Heal is 2 or 2.5, etc, etc.

I usually slot one in Against All Odds on a shield character.  It works.
