It could be built to be strong. Elec has pretty good resist values. Stone Melee will keep mobs on their asses, adding to your overall mitigation (and that of your teams). I'd build to add in defense, and you'd have a pretty strong overall layered defense using resists, IO added defense, and stone melee's knock downs.

Yeah, it's a very solid combo. Go for maxing resists as much as possible and then give a few slots to Fault (to keep things Knocked Down). Between the resists and keeping Fault cycling (KDing everything) it's very survivable. Also the inherent recharge helps keep Fault going and the mallets recharged. Depending on slotting, you can also use ForceFeedback's +recharge in several of the powers. One thing to mention is that Stone Melee is very Single Target oriented. That may not be an issue for you, but if you like AoE Tanking you'll need to add Mu Mastery or one of the other Epic/patron powers post 35 to pick up more AoE attacks.

If building for Defense, then Unbreakable Guards are your friend.

If building for Resists, then Impervium Armors are what you want.

I've got the combo on a brute and find it pretty unkillable. It's very easy to hit resist cap for S/L/E and you can probably get close on F/C/Psi. Beware of the toxic damage hole and the lack of KB protection once you leave the ground. Stone is definitely lacking in AoE damage - Tremor comes late and its animation is loooooong. I'd really like to see Fault replaced with Fissure (damaging version that doms and trollers get).

I literally just rolled one of these last night...

On Live I had a Stone/ELA Brute though and he was fairly solid.  I re-rolled as a tank last night because I wanted to try Elec armor on tanks and the numbers look pretty good, you can cap resist to everything but Toxic and Negative energy with the right build, so it should be pretty unstoppable in most content.

What this team needs is more Defenders

I had forgotten how easy to IO Electric is. Here's one take on how to make it. The build has plenty of room for customization depending on what you want out of it.

Is there a way to fit hasten in, or do you feel it's unnecessary?

Power set wise, you could exclude one of the Mallets (probably the first one would be best), or you could remove Maneuvers. It's all a matter of taste and play style. As-is, I'm not sure you'd need Hasten, but if it's something you want, there's room in the build for trade offs. Remember, you can use incarnates to up your recharge time as well, and with your Resists already pretty much maxed (except Toxic) you have freedom augment other parts for your build.

Nothing warms your opponent like Fiery Melee.

I've never not had hasten in a build before so it just kinda put me off to not see it there. But I'll give it a try. Thanks for your input.

Just dinged 50 on Rokatansky earlier today.  This one was a very easy run.  Soloing at +2 almost out of DO range (L12) and +3 by mid 20’s.  Easily +4/x2 from mid 30’s on.

Procs in Tremor and Fault are a help, and I found the Overwhelming Force KD proc in the early damage aura was my go-to.

Overall, excellent sets.  My first stone melee toon to make it to 50.  Definitely will not be the last!
