DougGraves Posted July 28, 2021 Posted July 28, 2021 I just watched one episode. It is made for Japan and is really about 3 anime heroes with the Avengers as side characters. All of the Avengers look and sound great. It has Hydra. It looks like it should be a great show. But it is all about 3 new anime characters. They don't look like the rest of the characters, they just look photoshopped in. They call out their powers every time they use them. It really feels like they just added an anime show to a backdrop of the avengers.
Techwright Posted July 29, 2021 Posted July 29, 2021 I'll glance at it. I'm not a huge fan of anime, but I might find it interesting. At this time I find the decade old show The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes to be the most interesting of the Avengers animations.
DougGraves Posted July 30, 2021 Author Posted July 30, 2021 EMH is by far the best Avengers animated show. I am now trying the Iron Man series, in which he has other avengers as well but they are just there to worship Iron Man. It's not terrible, but the 3rd episode was quite bad.
Mr. Vee Posted July 31, 2021 Posted July 31, 2021 Which Iron Man? armored adventures or the anime or the 90s one with Force Works? They're all fine for what they are but nothing to get excited about.
DougGraves Posted August 2, 2021 Author Posted August 2, 2021 looks like it is the one with Force Works, although they call them the Avengers in the show I am almost sure
Mr. Vee Posted August 2, 2021 Posted August 2, 2021 I bow to your much more recent watching. 😄 Now if you can just explain why the Mandarin is blue...
DougGraves Posted August 2, 2021 Author Posted August 2, 2021 Mandarin isn't Asian in it at all. I assume that was the intent. But the villains are all just sort of there wanting to be evil.
Thrythlind Posted August 3, 2021 Posted August 3, 2021 What sort of anime, that's a medium not a genre. Some of the comments sounds like it's at the younger end of Shonen anime. Granted lots of bleedover since they organize by demographic rather than genre... and you get people that watch anime from all sorts. Shonen aims at boys aged 12-18 and tends to revolve around themes of friendship, good vs evil, adventure, training arcs, etc. The younger end tends to be pretty kiddie.
ner879 Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 (edited) Anime is like a addictive, once you start to watch, you will be waiting for the next episode https://thebestofotaku.com/one-piece-filler-list/ Edited June 9, 2022 by ner879
