Energy melee wp, ninja, invuln, energy or sr?

I’ve already got a sd, ice armor and earth armor and I don’t like doubling up on defense sets.

 

with that said, which of these would synergies best with EM

I'm currently leveling an Energy Melee/Energy Aura (hit 37 last night) and she's a blast to play.

 

Energy Aura is a very strong set, and the synergy is good.  Having a heal is nice since Energy Transfer consumes HP on use.  The +rech from Entropic Aura is also helpful for getting that optimal attack chain.  Not to mention, being a defense set makes getting +rech relatively easy via Red Fortune sets and/or LotG uniques.

 

Also, having a taunt aura is nice.

Everything @Stormwalkerstated is true. My only dig on NRG aura is that it's far more clicky than SR and that can occasionally become problematic when you need to click energize or energy drain right in the middle of the ridiculously long cast times for total focus or long energy transfer.

I quite literally never play the same theme on both primary and secondary sets. Not on a single character.

 

Energy/Energy is the one which might tempt me.

ENA, INV, or WP. You want a taunt aura. All three of those are solid secondaries, with personal preference being that order. That order has the most "oh shi" buttons too, with WP being absolutely a "set and forget" secondary. That can be really nice, but it also means you have zero options if you are out of inspirations and things start going south.
