Updated TRAPDOOR test 5:51 mins -- Build included ULTIMATE DMG CONTROLLER -- Plant/Storm Controller -

UPDATE July 20th --  Last test I only had 3 incarnates and the three were only at T3. Changed enhancements on Roots as well, and the hold. 


UPDATE, June 29th  -- I am including yet another video:  TRAPDOOR TEST.  It's the 2nd video, right in the middle. 
First video test was vs Cimerorans, I did not use Judgement, neither Lore Pets, nor Hybrid (don't have it) I did the same test on my dominator. The Controller with Storm is just too much AoE dmg and if the Storm pets solo a single target, the dmg is too strong.

T3 Destiny, Alpha, and Interface.   
No inspirations used at all. 
Beat my plant dominator in this test, who had all T4s, specifically the ones used by my Plant/Storm. 

Video 1) against the Mez resistant Cimerorans, no inspirations, max difficulty.  (main test for me) 

Video 2) ITF, most importantly the deadliest part of the ITF, which is the second part in the caves, but some of part 1 and 3 is included. 
Also in video 2, solo mission no inspirations, no deaths, no temps, and so on. 

A few notes about the build --
1. 02 Boost is needed in two-man or three-man teams with other squishies who have or don't bring any mez protection especially for part 4 of the ITF.  This is for special cases when I am going to be teaming with another plant/storm too. 

2. I need my resistances as high as I can manage to these types :
A. Smashing
B. Lethal
C. Energy 
D. Neg Energy
These are the dmg types found in ITF.  I take special care in selecting IOs if they bring NEG dmg resistance to the build. 

3. I have HASTEN with only 4 seconds downtime, so 4 seconds short of permanent,  outside of Force Feed proc, or outside of Ageless, with either of these two things, it's permanent hasten. 

4. I can have 3 lightning storms. 
5. I can have 2 Tornadoes

6. Hibernate is very good since I play at difficulty levels that can manage to put me in a situation to need it (watch video) I don't use inspirations.  The game is too easy with inspirations, and I don't like easy.  That's not how I enjoy the game.  
It's difficult or it's not played.

A GOOD NOTE on the proc , Build UP proc, which I placed on Lightning Storm.  
If you see the video, the proc rate is excellent for LS because LS is already on a long recharge. 
Build up for the whole character is nice.

Well if you want some to bounce some idea this is my setup:

 

Perma Hasten with FF +recharge procs, range def cap, decent S/L resists, ST rotation with 2 big hitters (Enflame and Water Spout) and AoE to the eyeballs. Also end efficient enough so that if exempted below incarnate it can actually function for more then 30 seconds.

Doms are not known to be AoE machines with their secondary.  But, we have to remember that PSW has a bigger AoE trot capacity than almost all other AoEs for Doms.  

But, even then, it cannot come close to the AoE power of Storm, then if you take containment into consideration... yeah, no.

And this is why I like asking, because I always want to learn. Of course, it doesn't hurt that I also really want to make a Storm Character.. have since the game first came out, but never did. Been debating different setups for if I did it on a Corruptor or if I was willing to try it on a Defender (never played a Defender either)... never crossed my mind to think about a Controller.

Storm works on all 3, and very well.

Among other things, one benefit of Storm on a controllér is that you may be able to control the position of the mob to better use storm.

I don't want to repeat everything we discussed in Discord.  So the following is for the other readers --
But outside of the ITF it works just fine, even increasing difficulty settings or circumstances.
ITF is an important metric for me because it is part of the whole array of things I want to do with it. Especially two-man teams or three-man teams doing it.

Thank you so very much for all your time and information.. this has me very interested (I always have enjoyed the Plants on Dominators, and like I said, I have been working myself up over the life of the game to trying Storm somewhere lol). Combining the two looks very interesting, so I think I will try it with a Controller first. I am Still debating on doing it on a Water/Storm or Elec/Storm Corrupter too, but not until I get a little more familiar with Using Storm lol. 

I do have another question/request for you though. I have never, ever used Mids but you have made me wish to look into this enough that I have just downloaded it, so I guess that means you just took my Mids Cherry (See what I did there, a Plant Reference 😉 lol). Anyways, I am not familiar with Mids just yet (still looking at things in it)and so don't know all the things in your Image, so I was wondering if you would either post, or send me, the long string of stuff that can be imported to it so I can actually see what the names (and what they do) of the Various Enhancements and such are? I have never gotten a Character to 50 (or 30 even to be honest, Altaholic Syndrome lol) and so just looking at the images doesn't give me full clarity. 

If you do not want to, no worries, I have copied the one from Maxzero and am using it to try and learn the what the various Enhancements and such he has mean and can probably use that to figure yours out. Either way, Thank you very much for the work you did and for sharing the information you have. And Thank you Maxzero for your shared one as well.

I am sorry, but I can not find the link, Or, If I did, I am  just not comprehending it. I keep looking, but I'm just not seeing the wall of information like Maxzero's anywhere, no matter what image or video I look at. Maybe I am just getting to old and my mind is shot lol. Anyways, I tried using a copy of the the pictures as well as copying the webpage address it gives it you open it, but I just can't get Mids to accept it as data. I am sure I am overlooking something, but that is what I get for trying a program new to me without reading the instruction manual lol.

NEW UPDATE !!  Faster Trapdoor times after all T4 incarnates and minor changes.

Very fun challenge! I ran my Plant/Storm through at 4/8, completed in 6:10.  I did need to pop a few inspirations, as I've maximized recharge not defense.  The two hardest parts were dropping down the trapdoors into middle of spawns, rather than at the end to use seeds.  I probably could have hit the aoe hold first, then backed off and used seeds to clear those spawns with less risk/stress.  Really wish werewolves could be more easily immobilized -- I really hate seeing them run once their debuffed....

Wolves are highly HIGHLY resistant to dmg as well.  
That cuts into the time issue. 
What inspirations and how many did you use?
