Working on a force fielder. Doing Beam/Force Field Corruptor.

 

I'm looking at Detention Field. I don't have much experience with the new challenge end game stuff.

 

Is this power useful for these missions?

Not at all.

Infact in team play people will litterally hate you for it.

It is a skipable power.

With a caveat of the new 3 and 4 star Hard Modes, 801, etc..  Very useful in those cases when you get more heat than desired.

Yeah that's why I was asking! I'm well versed in how the power works and why no one takes it. But I don't have any experience with the harder difficulties and was wondering exactly this. I was hoping power to remove an enemy from combat entirely, even a very powerful enemy, would be useful. I mean, that's what it's there for. That's what it was a designed for. It's just, up to this point, none of the content was difficult enough to need it.

Honestly if it can effectively cage an AV or a Monster, it could be a very effective tool on say the end of the 3rd mission of a hard mode itf.

 

That said I've only ever used a cage power for PvP to neuter a team's heals, so I wouldn't be the guy to let you know how it works in PvE other than upsetting people on speed runs.
