Hi There!

My suggestion seems simple enough, but the devs will know if that is so. This is a QOL suggestion.

Put a sort button on the character selection screen that allows players to sort characters by selectable criteria. So, it would work like this. Pressing the button takes a snapshot of the character file that is local or creates a temp backup of the file. Then player selects sort order.  Sorting could be:

Name

Level

Last played

Faction

Origin

Archetype

Custom (this restores the list to the local sort)

When the player exits to desktop or changes server, backup file is restored and everything is reset.

If you wanted to get extra fancy, you could allow for the sort button to rewite the local file if the player wants to save the new sort. The backup file is then renamed to oldsort and retained, should it  be needed.

It seems to me that this would be very useful if you initiate the naming rules that you are discussing on the beta board. But even without that, those of us with a hundred or so characters would get use out of something like this.

Definitely discussed before, so there's probably a thread hiding if you want to read whatever was said.
