I'm quite sure someone already posted about that, but just in case...

 

We have that :

 

 

We can do... that (totally useless, unless you love sending very long and well-written emails between friends or to yourself)

 

 

But why, WHY, can't we have THAT :

 

 

Don't tell me that it's linked to the source code and that it's too complicated to modify for pity !

Can you please clarify what you're asking for, here...

 

EDIT:  Are you saying you want to be able to expand the message listing/inbox, and not just the message composition pane?

Yeah. I don't know if there's something wonky in the UI that prevents it, but it'd be nice to be able to adjust that splitter.

Oh, yes please! It'd be so very nice to have a better overview of the mailbox content.

Especially if you, like me, tend to shove every Awaken you get into the mailbox amidst various goodies intended for alts?
