smnolimits43 Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 Alright I am looking for a MA/Inv scrapper IO build. Thanks for your help in advance.
smnolimits43 Posted September 28, 2022 Author Posted September 28, 2022 also, i need the build to be able to exemplar down. Should i be looking for an attuned build ???
Major_Decoy Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 (edited) The easiest thing to do is have an attuned build. Or you can have two builds, one for level 50+ play and one for exemplaring. If you're really looking to just have one build and get the absolute best performance you can while exemplared or at 50+, then using level 30 enhancements and +5 boosting them will get you set bonuses from level 27 and better enhancement bonuses than attuned version. (Exception is PVP sets and Purple sets which do not lose set bonuses when you exemplar below the level at which you could slot them) Edit: As to build recommendations, it helps to have some idea of what your goals are. SeraphimKensai Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 (edited) I can't properly evaluate the build as it's incomplete. What are your build goals for the character? Edited February 17, 2023 by SeraphimKensai
Uun Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Build is not complete - you still have 5 slots to place and quite a few empty slots. I'm guessing this is a budget or leveling build, as you're slotting mostly yellow sets. You get OK enhancement values but the set bonuses they provide don't do a whole lot for you. You would do better with orange sets, which aren't that much more expensive. In particular, Harmonized Healing, Serendipity and Multi-Strike are pretty crappy sets. If you can afford it, slot the 2 ATO sets. Slot the Gladiator's Armor +def unique. Slot kb>kd in Crane Kick. Not sure why you're slotting Reactive Defenses def/end/rchg in Tough Hide. This is an auto power that uses no endurance. Switch to straight defense or the scaling resistance unique. No need for kb>kd in Dragon's Tail. Power doesn't do kb. No need for 2 slots in Swift or Kick Uuniverse

twozerofoxtrot Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 2 minutes ago, smnolimits43 said: are you sure about the kb in Dragon's Tail ?? The only way you will knock something back with Dragon's Tail is if the enemy's KB Protection is less than .67 (or something happy to be corrected on the exact #). In this case, the knockdown is effectively knockback. This happens with every power that has knockdown, and will still happen even if you put a conversion IO in the power. Typically you'll run into this situation if you're fighting mobs that are underleveled (so the 'purple patch' scales their KB prot down vs. you) or if you're fighting an enemy with like, negative KB protection, such as Clockwork.
smnolimits43 Posted February 22, 2023 Author Posted February 22, 2023 What am i trying to accomplish with this build ?? I have no idea. This is definitely a budget build. What are ATOs ??? where should i slot the Gladiator's Armor +def unique. where can i find the scaling resistance unique ??? the 2 slots in swift and kick was a mistake ??
smnolimits43 Posted February 22, 2023 Author Posted February 22, 2023 ok as for the what am i trying to accomplish ?? I want to be able to kick ass, literally. Secondly, i want to max out on dmg res, and defense.
smnolimits43 Posted February 22, 2023 Author Posted February 22, 2023 ok what would you slot first the attacks or the armors ?? how would you slot all of the invulnerable powers ?? as well as tough and hide ?? i need to know how many slots i have for them?? and what you guys would do with free slots i will have ?? are any of these questions helping develop the final build ??

EDIT: This link will help: https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Archetype_Enhancements Scrapper sets are Scrapper's Strike and Critical Strikes. They are Orange (Rare) Attuned Sets which can be found under Melee Damage in the Auction House. They should be available for around 10mil or less for the standard (Orange) versions, and can be slotted as early as level 10. They can be combined with a Catalyst to make the Superior versions (Purple/Very Rare/ Level 50 only). Within each set is a special piece (proc). For scrappers the SS proc adds a constant small bonus to critical hit chances. This one can be slotted into any attack and is always active. The Critical Strikes piece, often referred to on the forums as ATO2, is the literal game changer for Scrappers. Prioritize it. It works like a standard PPM proc, and when it triggers the chance to land a Critical Hit increases by a whopping 50% for about 3 seconds (and change). Depending on build goals, the set bonuses from each can be pretty good, but from level 10 onwards it is definitely worth running proc from each set. All ATs, btw, have 2 sets that are unique to them. Not all are created equal; the best ones are generally considered to be the Scrapper, Stalker, and Tanker versions. For Scrappers it is widely acknowledge that ATO2 is an absolute, necessary, game-changer. If you take a look at the build @Uun posted, they have slotted the sets in Cobra and Crippling. 7 hours ago, smnolimits43 said: the 2 slots in swift and kick was a mistake ?? Generally speaking. Yes. Unless you're going for a specific set bonus granted at 2 pieces. Pretty rare that this is useful - if you're looking for Slow Resist via Winter sets those are usually more better off in a power you'll actually use. For Swift - just slot it with either a Run or Flight IO (in the default slot) depending on if you are a flier or a ground pounder. If you want/need more movement speed there are better ways to get it. For Kick - meh, at 50 it shouldn't see any use. Some folks drop a Force Feedback into it for emergency use, but that's not really all that great anyway. Edited February 22, 2023 by InvaderStych link added You see a mousetrap? It provides 3% damage resistance at full health and increases to 13% as your health drops. You can purchase it on the Auction House for 3-5 million inf and it can be slotted in any defense power. https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Reactive_Defenses:_Scaling_Damage_Resistance 8 hours ago, smnolimits43 said: how would you slot all of the invulnerable powers ?? as well as tough and hide ?? For damage resistance and defense toggles, you can generally hit ED max and get adequate end reduction with 3 slots (res, res/end, res/end/rech or def, def/end, def/end/rech). For auto powers, you can get away with 2 slots if you slot 50+5 resistance or defense IOs. That said, you'll want to 6-slot several of the toggles for the set bonuses. If you're taking Tough in addition to Resist Physical Damage, Temporary Invulnerability and Unyielding, you'll be over the 75% cap for S/L resistance and you don't need to fully slot all of them for damage resistance. I use RPD as a mule for 1 or more of the uniques. 1 Uuniverse
