It's interesting you say cheese it with stacked barrier as pretty much all hm itf and aeon are full of those just to do it.

The main difference there is that ASF and ITF HMs were designed knowing that barrier exists and could be stacked -- "cheesing" certain parts by stacking is an expected strategy, but you have to choose between stacking for temporary immunity during harder parts or keeping it rolling for better overall protection, and bringing a lot of Barrier means giving up some other Destiny abilities.

Whoever designed the trial? We didn't change the damage values -- I checked the commit log just to verify. Foot Stomp and Prism Blast always did a stupid amount of damage -- Scale 1.32 Smashing damage and Scale 3 (!) Unique1 damage. From an archvillain class enemy that's... a lot. Especially for an enemy with a +100% tohit bonus, so defense isn't going to help you much.

Removing incarnates did change the dmg values technically :P.   We lost a level shift so our resistances are less!

I don't care anymore for Master of runs on this because its just as easy as it would be if we did have incarnates... The only issue I have with it now is people following instructions when leading it and having to have specific ATs to run it :/ (tank with taunt and jet pack mainly).

The one good change that was done to Master of Runs was the fact you can use travel temp powers lol tbh. Otherwise I really wish they had done more testing or asked for people's opinions about this before pushing no Incarnates.

So...my problem is my phantom army pets still get killed by the crystal titan, even though the selling point is they're supposed to be impervious to harm. And my phantasm doesn't get any benefit from ambrosia - which I had thought was supposed to be fixed.

So, yeah, even when it's not a master attempt, the trial is not working the way it's supposed to - at least not for illusion controllers.

Have you even tried running the Eden Trial with an illusionist? We didn't recall having any issues with Phantom Army on the Crystal Titan, so to verify, @SSR and I tested it. On regular settings and master settings, the Crystal Titan did no damage to the Decoys.

the Crystal Titan does unique damage which will always hurt and destroy Phantom Army.  This also includes Hamidon and Dark Watcher in the ASF's Vanguard heroes fight.  (It's always amusing to see Phantom Army versus his Phantom Army, but I digress.)

The damage type of attacks does not matter when it comes to Phantom Army. The Decoy's invulnerability comes from having the Untouchable status effect, not through any resistance to damage.  Hamidon deals damage to Decoys because his attacks are flagged to ignore Untouchable, not because Hamidon does unique damage. For reference the Mending Mitochondria deal toxic damage and still hurt Decoys. The explosions of the Weapon Caches and Containment Chambers in Lambda deal fire and lethal damage and still hurt Decoys.

I am open to the possibility that I didn't remember things accurately. But I certainly did run the trial. I don't just make stuff up. It has been almost 2 years ago. I do know that I'd read that ambrosia was supposed to work on pets - but apparently I got my info from a set of patch notes that was imprecise. And I had expected my lore pet to assist and they were instantly crushed.

I had expected to take down the titan in 4 minutes,  I only had 5 ambrosia. And I just didn't have the dps (to take down the titan in 4-5 minutes) due to ambrosia not working for my pets.
