Healing would need to be limited to a minor effect or you take away the need for team healing ATs.

 

Edit: Also, with Dark Blast and Energy Blast in mind, I would recommend the more neutral name of Radiant Blast or sticking to Light Blast.

In Champions Online, they have a celestial set - the schtick there is that you can target allies to heal them, or enemies to deal damage.  That would be an interesting mechanic, but may make tab-targeting difficult.  Perhaps have a toggle that switches you from attack mode to healing mode, with some sort of effect that causes the target to receive reduced benefit from the heals if used too much in a short period of time, so bona fide healing sets aren't left out in the cold...

I agree with Rudra though would probably make the other healing power sets obsolete.

So, it would go perfectly with a power that does not have healing.

Example: Light blast/ Force Field 

Cold Domination 

Traps and so on

That sounds like the discipline priest from WOW : a part of damages are converted in heals for group/raid.

 

Could be interesting. To avoid imbalance, maybe focus it in a small radius around the target, like Kinetic transfusion, or could heal one mate only,  the lowest in HP

And, to maintain balance, both the damage done and the healing provided would need to be significantly reduced, as you are basically rolling two powersets into one, creating a character with three powersets. We would immediately see whines about how badly nerfed the powerset was, because you were so gimped trying to solo with it because of the crap damage, and they were unwanted in teams because they didn't contribute enough in either damage or healing to justify having one on your team instead of a DPS or healing character.

If the healing is low enough I don't see the issue. Maybe it's only a chance of happening and the heal cannot be enhanced or target yourself.

If you have a choice between a blast powerset that does X amount of damage and a powerset that does the same amount of damage with the same End cost and activation times, but also heals a random teammate for some amount of damage, which one is objectively better? If you add functionality to a powerset, in order to keep it balanced against the other powersets, it's going to have to lose functionality elsewhere.

Nah, sonic doesn't have reduced functionality

Or cold

Or fire

Or energy

Or archery

Or any other powers et with a secondary effect
