Procs for Radiation Blast

Given Sentinel's base damage is considerably higher than Defenders, they already Vulnerability for Res debuffing, and they don't have Build Up  -  what is the consensus on slotting the following procs and which attacks they should go into if any at all?

  1. Touch of Lady Grey: Chance for Negative Damage
  2. Shield Breaker: Change for Lethal Damage
  3. Achilles' Heel: Chance for Res Debuff
  4. Decimation: Chance of Build Up

I slot the Touch of Lady Grey and Shield Breaker procs in X-Ray Beam and Irradiate. I also slot the Achilles' Heel and Scirocco's Dervish procs in Irradiate. The Decimation proc is utter garbage. It's 1 PPM and has almost no chance to go off in an attack. I slot the Gaussian's proc in Aim, which will almost always go off if you don't slot any recharge.

For me it depends on the secondary and what defence/resist numbers i aim for. On the rad/rad all the procs get loaded into the single target attacks and i use the pbaoes for set bonuses (ranged+ranged aoe sets are pretty crap, pbaoe +melee sets are pretty awesome) I don't bother with shield breaker i prefer the glad chance for toxic in ranged and the armageddon/eradication in pbaoe. I don't use the decimation and only threw in a single achilles in the tier 3 single target.

I have a radiation blast sentinel from the pre buff days slotted with loads of procs. I think I have a lady gray and other stuff in pretty much every attack (other stuff -always damage proc-determined by type of attack, ranged, ranged AOE, PBAOE). I think I managed to have 2-3 per attack. I don't really consider it necessary anymore, and if I wanted to go back and respec I'd be changing set bonuses to support my defenses and recharge some more.

With regards the gaussian proc in aim, you can actually slot quite a lot of recharge (around 70%) in the power before you start to impact the proc chance.

And you probably should slot for recharge.  Sentinels need to work to get their damage up.

More "did you know?" that anything else, but if you put the Gaussian's proc in Assault Tactics from the Leadership power pool, it has a chance to trigger for every ally in its radius (but you still get the effect) - meaning on a team of 8 players with some pets out, you can get something like 25% Build Up uptime. Basically, your Build Up uptime scales by the number of friendlies on your team.

Putting it in Aim is a completely sensible thing to do, but if you're someone like me who forgets to use Aim or Build Up, it's a good passive boost in Assault Tactics.

As stated above, you can slot Gaussian's in Tactics, not Assault. I've done this on some builds (and 6-slotting Gaussian's gives 2.5% defense to M/R/A), but I don't have Tactics on my Rad blast sentinel. I like slotting the BU proc in Aim on blast sets with T9 nukes, as the combined 130% damage buff is usually enough for the nuke to take out everything except bosses.
