Hello.  Below is the build I'm using.  It was made before somewhat recent changes to MMs.  I barely play it but would like to update to hopefully make the pets more survivable.  The only thing I'm requiring is flight for travel and the three whip attacks cause I love them.  Any other notes, changes, power changes, are welcome.  I mostly scrap/tank and such so not well versed in MMs.

Demons/time was my first mm on HC and my main on torch and its been few a lot of respecs, i ended up dumping mace and power boost in favour of soul as i play it like a melee toon, run ahead hop into the centre of the mob so TJ hits everything and wait on the pets to catch up. Defences aren't anywhere near yours it sits at about 32-35% to most stuff and the only time it runs into trouble is when i'm up against mobs like DA BP and their massive rain debuffs. I don't run flight either and i skipped lash in favour of DF and a fully slotted time stop. Haven't had any issues with pet deaths but i slotted them differently and the only advice i can give is to change the t2 slotting, i squeezed in a d-sync reconstitution and a hammi ribo. I know Temporal Mending is a great heal but sometimes its not enough when pets like to melee and get out of range and it never hurts to bump the res buffs handed out.

 

And Chronoshift, i can't be the only one who hates seeing that doctored wound set 6 slotted but i get your after the rech bonus and its impressive seeing 50% ish toxic res but i get that too and i have 0 sets slotted for extra psi/toxic res bonuses. There's much better ways to slot that power than DW set. 5 panacea or 6 pre-emptive for a start.

 

Not sure what the full set of thunderstrike is doing for you in corruption. Ranged defence or e/ne defence? If your chasing the latter 5 winters bite would take you over 45%.

 

I see leadership skipped, thats the only other thing i can see that'd increase pet def with manouvres but if your spamming all those attacks and time crawl and time stop i can see huge endurance issues, there's no end red slotted in those and they are your best clickies vs gm's and av's along with slowed response, hitting all 3 of those must be taking wopping chunks off your blue bar.

 

As with all builds its your playstyle that matters most. Slotted as it is i don't see you having any issues as demons never got any update last issue and i don't see them getting one in the upcoming issue either. With that much s/l def and res you shouldn't have any problems playing it as a tank/scrap/brute. Just take the alpha let TJ do the rest, maybe try to fit in DF which stacks slows with TJ. Possibly fit an ff+rech in crack whip. Give demon prince a slow proc or 2. The best form of survival is always dps and if your pets kill faster they won't die as often.

This is the Demon pet slotting I would roll with. It makes use of all the uniques and manages to squeeze in some procs. Adds +40% recharge to the build. It's meant to be used with Musculature Radial/Core or Intuition Radial Alpha equipped.

I guess my initial point was that now that you can slot the pets with resistance, I was trying to do that to up survivability but not lose the pet procs and set bonuses to keep hasten and then the time buffs perma. 

 

There are for sure somethings I plan on changing on the build, but very unfamiliar with best ways to do MMs.

sweet. Working on it now. Will loosen up other rechafge bonuses too. A lot of this I have no idea what I was thinking either. Probably a budget build at the time. I don’t care about budget anymore. I got plenty laying around now. I’ll post again once I finish up.

Looks good. Few things:

 

The Unbreakable Constraint proc isn't great on the Demon Prince. Proc for proc, it does do more damage than Impeded Swiftness but only one power can activate it. DP's only power that can trigger UC is Block of Ice, while every single one of his attacks have a slow effect and can trigger Impeded and Ice Mistral. I did a 2 min proc test for Demon Prince a couple months ago VS a pylon. Results:

 

-Impeded Swiftness proc triggered 25 times in 2 mins for 57.39 dam each = 1434.75 damage.
-Ice Mistral proc triggered 31 times in 2 mins for 57.39 dam each = 1779.09 damage.
-Unbreakable Constraint triggered 7 times in 2 mins for 85.66 dam each = 599.62 damage.

 

Tested on a single target and BoI is a ST attack. DP has 1 cone and 2 PBAoE attacks so Impeded/Mistral have a chance to proc even more than what is shown above when fighting multiple targets.

 

Farsight can equip +tohit IOs. Something to consider since there's no Tactics from the Leadership PP in the build.

 

I recommend taking Maneuvers. Slotted it will add about +4% def for you and pets. PB+FS will provide your pets 21.44% def + 10% Edict/CtA + 4% Maneuvers = +35.44% def. They would have equivalent softcap VS enemies debuffed by Time's Juncture's -tohit. But I guess even without Maneuvers, they'll still be really close.

 

Power Boost doesn't really need the second slot. It's main use is to just buff Farsight. FS has a duration of 2 minutes so even with no slots, PB will be recharged and ready in time.

 

Can get closer to E/N softcap by slotting Corruption with Thunderstrike. Energy damage is pretty frequent late game. It's useful to have E/N defense higher.

 

Regardless, great build! I'm sure it will take you far. And don't worry about the extra recharge. It will help get HoE out quicker.

The Unbreakable Constraint proc isn't great on the Demon Prince. Proc for proc, it does do more damage than Impeded Swiftness but only one power can activate it. DP's only power that can trigger UC is Block of Ice, while every single one of his attacks have a slow effect and can trigger Impeded and Ice Mistral. I did a 2 min proc test for Demon Prince a couple months ago VS a pylon. Results:

 

-Impeded Swiftness proc triggered 25 times in 2 mins for 57.39 dam each = 1434.75 damage.
-Ice Mistral proc triggered 31 times in 2 mins for 57.39 dam each = 1779.09 damage.
-Unbreakable Constraint triggered 7 times in 2 mins for 85.66 dam each = 599.62 damage.

 

Tested on a single target and BoI is a ST attack. DP has 1 cone and 2 PBAoE attacks so Impeded/Mistral have a chance to proc even more than what is shown above when fighting multiple targets.

 

Farsight can equip +tohit IOs. Something to consider since there's no Tactics from the Leadership PP in the build.

 

I recommend taking Maneuvers. Slotted it will add about +4% def for you and pets. PB+FS will provide your pets 21.44% def + 10% Edict/CtA + 4% Maneuvers = +35.44% def. They would have equivalent softcap VS enemies debuffed by Time's Juncture's -tohit. But I guess even without Maneuvers, they'll still be really close.

 

Power Boost doesn't really need the second slot. It's main use is to just buff Farsight. FS has a duration of 2 minutes so even with no slots, PB will be recharged and ready in time.

 

Can get closer to E/N softcap by slotting Corruption with Thunderstrike. Energy damage is pretty frequent late game. It's useful to have E/N defense higher.

 

Regardless, great build! I'm sure it will take you far. And don't worry about the extra recharge. It will help get HoE out quicker. 

 

 

 

5 winters bite = 5% e/ne defence, 6 thunderstrikes = 3.75% e/ne def. Its why i was curious about initial build slotting, the winters bite set puts you at 45% e/ne def and gets you an extra slot.

Alright, think this is it.  Resist s/l still at 50.  S/L/E will be well above 45% with power boosted forsight.  Can pick up distortion field and give it a whirl again.  Haven't used it in ages.  Gets Manuevers to help pets as well.  

 

(edit, only 4 kb, but does have 100% slow/recharge resist)

Just an update for anyone looking later. Took it for a spin on 54 ITF. Did great. Lotta fun. I like the whip powers more than anything else really. Switched one of the melee snows for the proc, and the defense pvp IOS were for some reason 20 million so I just did more reactive defense.

Farsight has a much higher +def base value than Maneuvers. +9.38% def VS +2.63% def. The way they're currently slotted, Farsight provides +12.36% and Maneuvers +4.27%, added together = +16.63%.

 

If the IOs were swapped around so that Farsight had the higher stat increases, FS would have around +14.72% and Maneuvers +4.05%. Added together = +18.77%. An increase of +2.14% def for MM and pets.

 

End/def/tohit HO is really good for FS if you want to invest less slots into it. Unfortunately they cost an arm and a leg.

 

The Gaussian BU proc is probably bad in Farsight. It would be better in a toggle so it has a chance to proc every 10 seconds. Since Farsight is a click power, it would only have a chance to activate every 2ish mins when FS is used. 

 

Chased a lot of S/L +resist bonuses. The Prestige Sprint powers can all slot Celerity for +2.25% S/L res. Not saying it's better to do that but if it helps free up some slotting, something worth considering. 

 

Chased S/L res so much that I kind of want to say drop CJ + 1 other power and take the Fighting PP for Box/Kick and Tough. Tough will provide a good amount of S/L res and CJ isn't really needed since you will still be at S/L/E softcap. Also the build is missing the Gladiator Armor unique.

 

I typically only run with 4 KB protection and in most cases, it feels fine. Especially if you're flying all the time. Just sort of spin around in mid-air, recovering quickly.

 

Regardless, good job. Glad you're enjoying MMs!

Do you guys play these builds or is this a final 50 build?  Temporal Junction at 49 on every build?  I disagree with that completely. TJ is what's keeping you and your minions alive from 4 til you get Foresight  24/7.

For me its just mids build posts, none of my posted builds are with powers picked in a specific order, when it comes time to respec i pick what i want for exempting down prioritising stuff like TJ and farsight on /time with travel/attacks before leadership , powers like distortion field tend to be late picks as is time crawl/time stop/temporal selection. It all depends on the player and if they are going to run incarnate only 50+ content, they maybe final builds after having run all the low lvl stuff.

Yes and yes. Can’t use purples or superiors if it was a lvl build. Low level content easy anyway but I always have a lowbie to play that.
