Its stormy out, there's thunder, and the drinky people nearby are whooping at the sky. 

so I'm going to make a storm blast 'something'.... but what's the concensus? 

 

what's the best of best AT for storm, in your opinion??

I will always choose a blaster over any other AT.  And a Defender over a Corrupter.  My blaster secondaries for Storm = /Ice, /Fire, /Martial, and /Temporal.  For a Defender, can't go wrong with Storm/Storm for the theme.  But Elec/Storm would fit thematically too.

made a defender and corruptor build - def is elec affinity/storm, corruptor storm/storm.

 

blaster - probably storm/elec.... or storm/energy... or storm/plant... or storm/ice ---- storm / ice would probably be good.

Where is sentinel? I think storm blast is uniquely suited to the AT. Storm blast benefits from being able to focus on the blasts to leverage storm cell and c5's special mechanic. Without this, damage feels on the softer side. Sents can just toggle up defenses and blast away. Damage scales are now strong with the sent buffs as well.

 

Blasters want something a bit punchier, and if playing optimally will be spending a good bit of their animation time on the secondary. Def/corr have their own distractions with their excellent support sets.

 

My own choice was storm/rad, which provides some extra aoe.

I took both a Storm/Temporal Blaster and a Storm/Dark Corruptor to 50.

 

Hands down, the Blaster was waaaay more effective (for me) by virtue of being able to maximize the charging-up of Storm Cell for all the aoe damage-over-time and cc that brings.

 

In either case, Storm Blast isn't going to be the best set to pack for an eight-hero villain erasure team, but it is super fun in a duo or small team.

My favorite Storm is my Storm/Dark Sentinel.   I do have a Storm/Cold Corruptor that's not bad.   Neither is completely kitted out yet, so they should get better
