option menu triggers crash

Attempting to access the Options menu from any character causes the game to lock up, then crash to desktop.

Weird. I just tried and had no problems. Maybe try validating your files? On Tequila, you can choose Re-Validate when you click Options before you log in. I don't know about the HC Launcher though.

Yes. The HC Launcher has a verify option.

I should have been more clear. I don't know where it is on the HC Launcher.

Same issue, specifically on the Mac. The only two workarounds I found are:

 

1. I can often get at the Settings via the login screen button, especially if it's the first thing I do after launching the app.
2. Sometimes I can get at the Options in-game if it, again, is the first thing I do after launch and login.

Re-installing the game didn't help.

 

Thankfully I've been able to do most of what I wanted and can just avoid touching it. Only thing I found I can't reliably change is the colors for the speech bubbles.

Slight below and to the right of the "Ready" prompt are three dots.  They do not appear if you have that one running.  In the snapshot, I clicked on the Diag version
