EvilEmpire
So i was playing on the server a couple of years ago and decided to come back. had forgotten my password but reset it by having it sent to email no problem. behold my surprise when i log in to all my characters across all servers are gone. I've somehow created a whole new account while using the same email and forum account? and i can tell my old global name and character names are still there as i cannot use them. Tips? am i SOL? Retired Game Master GM Tock Posted January 29 Retired Game Master Share Posted January 29 Basic things to check: -- Did you check the right server on login? A blank character screen is normal for a server you didn't play on. -- Are you using the right account? If you had a secondary account that you didn't use, this could be why. -- Check all the character panels in the login screen, are they out of order and scattered? (You may need to rename/delete playerslot.txt in your account folder.)
WanderingAries
Check ALL of your email accounts you may use. I use one account for the main and another on a different service (same name) for my alt account, so something as simple as Yahoo vs Google could be it. Keep in mind that some people did silly stuff like use throwaway email accounts or that Apple fake email thing too.
