Help tweaking Electric/Electric/Mu/Ion build.

First, let me say... I love this build. I love the concept, and the execution in both S/L farms and in the open world are fine. Just fine.

But only fine. I am okay at Mids' Reborn. But I am no innovator. I look to better crafters than I am to fashion these things, and was hoping to maintain the overall look, feel, and play of this character, but make her more... more? Resists are pretty good (ecept for Toxic), and melee defense is alright, but only alright. It is very hard to run out of endurance on this brute as slotted. The electric animations make it no Street Justice rotation, but she'll do.

I guess what I am saying is, is there a way to optimize this build without removing the essence of the concept (earth-bound daughter of a certain Thunder-and-Lighting Diety)?

Thanks! ~Beorn

Posted mine, below.  Sacrificed some damage for significant survivability.  Does more damage than the Elec/Elec tank version, but the tank is sturdier.  No taunt on a brute...personal preference.

Other differences:

1.  Charged Brawl - Full set of Touch of Death

2.  Charged Armor - Full set of Aegis

3.  Havoc Punch gets the Superior Brute's Fury (procs alot)

4.  Jacob's Ladder, took it, since I went with Energy Mastery, instead of an offensive Epic, full set of Obliteration

5.  Lightning Field - Full set of Superior Unrelenting Fury (procs alot)

6.  Thunder Strike - Needs a KB to KD, or they go flying.  Didn't bother with FF +rech, since I use Hasten and the proc in Lightning Field and have FF +rech in Lightning Rod.  Cheapo Razzle Dazzle gives End, HP and Melee Def.

7.  Build Up - Full set of Gaussians, for the Melee Def (along with alot of other benes)

8.  Chain Induction - four slots (limited by other choices), so put a cheapo Pounding Slugfest full set (8% Regen and 2% Damage)

9.  Energize - Full set of Preventive Medicine (8.75% recharge)

10.  Lighting Rod - needs KB to KD or they go flying.  Yes, I put a FF +rech in there

11.  Panacea in Health and Power Transfer in Stamina (+HP) means bonus green numbers floating, as well.

Incarnates include Ion (for theme), Musculature (for damage), Carnival (for Forge) and Barrier (of course).

So I'll say it for everyone else.  Tanky Brute?..."I would have put a whole lot more damage in there"... 😁  Let's just say, he farms the "Just teh Council" S/L Dreck map just fine.

With no tricks or Incarnates, you get 43% Melee Def. (no DDR, so can be stripped quickly) and right at 90% S/L resist.  90+ Energy (of course) and 54 Neg/63 F-C/66 Psi.

Just my $.02 infl and take on the theme.

What is your attack rotation when farming? Some of the PBAoE's seem to slotted as IO-bonus mules rather than for active use, but maybe I am overlooking something there. I am hoping to learn something here to use my own elec/elec brute better, so any feedback will be appreciated, thanks.

As a tanker-at-heart, you are correct and it's because I also use this guy in general play.  I'm no pro farmer, by any means, and if I want max reward I dual-box and drag a Inv/SS tank (Foot Stomp on auto) following behind a Spines/Fire true fire farming broot.

To your point, you could drop the Panacea and Power transfer +HP procs, because the toon doesn't really need it for farming, and add back damage procs to Thunder Strike and Lightning Rod.

Attack rotation is BU:LR:TS:CB:HP:JL:CI to open, then (with Hasten active) it's really a down the line button pushing of CB:HP:JL:CI:TS with LR when available.  There's also Ion Judgement, every time it's up on a full mob.

You had me at "...down the line button pushing..." 🙂 I like an easy-to-use rotation. And I, too, would like to continue to use my E/E in general play as well, so this works out nice. Thanks!

Have you tried this build without the KB>KD enhancements? I don't think Thunderstrike and Lightning Rod need them. I've got a Scrapper and built a Brute for my son, both are Ele/Ele, and neither have the KB>KD loaded and neither knockback any enemies. The game lists it as knockback but in the description in both is states "knockdown," and so far for me and my son, that is all the enemies do. Trust me I'm not a fan of KB at all and appreciate anyone who feels the same  :))

This is an older build, but one of my usual leveling builds, that was played from 1-50.  Early on, it was clear I needed the enhancements, as (on a tank, at least) the minions went flying.  I don't read every detail of all the updates, so something certainly could have changed.
