Jacke Posted September 10 Posted September 10 (edited) @Slayde, what launcher do you use for City? Have you added the command line option to the launcher that allows the City client program to find the mods? -assetpath assets/mods Edited September 10 by Jacke Remember! Let's be careful out there! City Council Michiyo Posted September 11 Author City Council Posted September 11 12 hours ago, lemming said: This page? https://cityofheroes.dev/mods/ Though the install instructions could use work, the first post in this thread works. The linked install instructions are only for Tequila and other legacy / non supported launchers. There are no more "Install instructions" for HCLauncher, other than to run it and select your base path as it tells you to do in the program. The asset path is automatically added to the HCLauncher for all active profiles when the program runs. Again I'm SUPER confused on what exactly @Slayde is trying to do. As in the quoted post, you don't need to search for any mods to download the installer, the big blue "Download" buttons for Windows / Mac *ARE* the Mod Installer. Click the applicable one, unzip it, run the program inside and tell it where your BASE install is, if you don't know where it is. Open HCLauncher, click the Gear, and the install location is right there. 1 Check out the: City Mod Installer | Live Forums Archives | The City Translation Project The Unofficial Homecoming Wiki | The FBSA Wiki (Roleplay / Character backstories) 🏳️⚧️

Aelan Posted October 3 Posted October 3 I've recently downloaded the installer, got the game path set and everything shows fine but no mods load. While troubleshooting I saw the post earlier about the corrupted mod, when I download that the game does not crash. I've done a clean install of the launcher and the game but it just refuses to work.

Open your HC Launcher, click the Gear icon. 100% confirm the install directory is 100% the same as the game path in the Mod Installer. Also make sure the log at the bottom right of the mod installer finishes with "All profiles have '-assetpath assets\mods'". Aelan Posted October 4 Posted October 4 It seems fine, but it's still not working. Sorry to bug, I'm just at a loss. I'm generally good at figuring out mods for games but I'm at a loss lol

Aelan Posted October 4 Posted October 4 (edited) Well after a reinstall of Homecoming it's working now, so I'll call that a win, thanks for the help! I guess my install was just angry at me and needed a spanking. Edited October 4 by Aelan

Neither of those options should matter, as I've tested with totally vanilla installs with no options changed. The only thing I can think of is you had the launcher open when you were installing, and it kept overwriting the addition of the asset path. When you closed and reopened the launcher it was able to save that setting. Otherwise not sure, but those options don't effect it in any way. 1 Check out the: City Mod Installer | Live Forums Archives | The City Translation Project The Unofficial Homecoming Wiki | The FBSA Wiki (Roleplay / Character backstories) 🏳️⚧️
Glacier Peak Posted Saturday at 04:31 PM Posted Saturday at 04:31 PM (edited) Finally got around to trying out the mod installer. It's fantastic! The easiest piece of software I've installed. And it worked without me having to do anything besides making the size of the window bigger. Really solid quality mods listed too. Big fan of the large comic Font! khaosrodney1 Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago (edited) Ok so normally I am very very good at figuring these mods and stuff out. Maybe you can provide me with some help. I run the city mod installer get the alert that it might be bad like normal click run away. Then I get 1-2 seconds of the round blue circle and then nothing. Tried turning the game off completely. Tried it with the homecoming launcher turned on. Tried it with the game running. Nothing seems to change what it's doing. 1-2 seconds blue circle (aka loading) then nothing. I have looked through my task manager and I do not see anything in there for it. Any help would be appreciated. Edited 18 hours ago by khaosrodney1 figured it out
