Pie
Hello As the title says, is there a guide or somewhere i can look up on how to make my own afk farm but specifically the afk farm that you hit "follow" on the ally NPC so your toon follows them and kills everything along the way to the exit. I have seen two such maps one was fire and the other was S/L both were the same map style (which was caves) and both called it an "ATTA map" i tried google and asking the discord but no such luck. I would like to see if I can make my own version that is not in a cave because my toon often gets stuck on corners which is very annoying coming back to check on it expecting to be done with the map only to see my toon still at the beginning stuck on a corner. Ukase
When you make your own AE mission (and you totally should try!) you will begin the process and see in orange a bunch of errors. Simply click on the top error and go all the way down, filling in fields as you think appropriate until the errors go away. When it comes to maps...they have some names and you'll see pictures (outlines of them). Plenty of office maps, outdoor city maps. I get the frustration of getting stuck on a rock or corner. It's just the price of afk-farming, imo. I knew a guy who used to broadcast for a lowbie with flight. He'd tell the lowbie to fly overhead through the map while he would tab out and watch tv or work from home, no idea really. I just know he would press f for follow on the lowbie and the lowbie would fly around the map. The lowbie gets their levels, and he got the map cleared. Win/win, I guess. Not sure either one had any excitement or fun, but that's their business. There's a lot of ways to do things differently, for sure. Here's an example of a map in AE: If you look on the left, I can choose just about any map we have in game - and it's not like these maps are special or require anything to be unlocked. Just pick the one you want. I suspect you're looking for the same as the Atta map, but without the debris. I would have no idea where to refer you, as that would involve me testing each map to take a look, and well, it's not that important to me to do it. Sorry. Someone else might be able to suggest a map and describe how to find that map, with the decription of small, medium, large, etc. and then the description of that map. Ankylosaur
The Atta map refers to a very large custom map that is where Atta of the Trolls lives in the Hollows. Probably popular for farming because it has so many spawn points and corners where you can gather mobs. As said above, you'll have to explore other maps to find the one that meets your farming needs. So many people have made farms though, I bet you can find one that you like. 2 AE Arcs: Search for @Ankylosaur * denotes Dev's Choice Adventures in Lit: Adventures in Wonderland - 25-54* | Adventures in Oz - 40-54 | Adventures in Neverland - 45-54 Notable One-offs: Rularularian - 41-54* | The Serpent Beyond the Horizon - 46-52* | Robolution - 25-34* | The Genesis & Geneticists of The Coming Hamiggedon - 41-54* | Spycraft and Spidermen - 40-47 | Return to Faultline - 40-54 Post-Praetoria Series: All That Glitters: Gold Brickers & Mooks - 9 Arcs | All That Glimmers: First Warders & Mu - 9 Arcs | All That Glints: The Awakened & Council - 3 Arcs | All That Glows: Nictus & 5th Column - 3 Arcs* | All That Gleams: Epilogue (Neo Tokyo) - 1 Arc

Ankylosaur
Me either - it's really phoning it in. 🙂 But now that I know it does, I'm surprised the follow works without issues. I picture an afk farm like this... Take a fire/spine brute in with auras ablazin' Rescue an ally who buffs, probably a ridiculous custom one with ALL available buffs. The rescue spawns heavy patrols. Auto-fire your burn patch. Have lunch. Never made a farm nor do I have a farming toon, but there - a guide. 🙂 Edited April 18 by Ankylosaur 1 1 AE Arcs: Search for @Ankylosaur * denotes Dev's Choice Adventures in Lit: Adventures in Wonderland - 25-54* | Adventures in Oz - 40-54 | Adventures in Neverland - 45-54 Notable One-offs: Rularularian - 41-54* | The Serpent Beyond the Horizon - 46-52* | Robolution - 25-34* | The Genesis & Geneticists of The Coming Hamiggedon - 41-54* | Spycraft and Spidermen - 40-47 | Return to Faultline - 40-54 Post-Praetoria Series: All That Glitters: Gold Brickers & Mooks - 9 Arcs | All That Glimmers: First Warders & Mu - 9 Arcs | All That Glints: The Awakened & Council - 3 Arcs | All That Glows: Nictus & 5th Column - 3 Arcs* | All That Gleams: Epilogue (Neo Tokyo) - 1 Arc

But this specific ally walks to the exit themselves and it looks like it even stops when there is a mob around and after the mob is killed it keeps walking. I just dont know if that map specifically makes the farm good or if i can replicate the same results on another map without the potential of getting stuck. I have tried to look for other S/L afk farms but they are all a 10min farm, and S/L maps are not as popular as Fire so not my options out there. Ankylosaur
The thing is you'll want to place your ally at the back - and in the Atta map, the back is not quite as far back you would probably want - I think it's like the second right - the mini map in AE will show you. So you could probably do a different map. Something big like the few big outdoor maps like the Cimeroran valley map or castle map that have a back might work. Most standard maps other than caves span multiple floors so are probably not the best. pie2
thank you for the information, the puzzle is starting to come together, are there any special setting for the ally to walk himself to the exit and stop when encountering mobs until they are dead?

No idea - that's one of the "issues" I meant. Maybe they are an AV, set to fight defensively, but have no attacks? There are not. I have done a TON of AE work, both long form and single arc. Just search the AE mish list for my sig @cranebump.
