Cyborg-Themed Brute Ideas?

I recently had the idea to try and make a brute, with the main premise behind him being that he had one (or two) cybernetic arms that he used in a fight. And that's about as far as I got. I couldn't really think of what powerset would work best with the character concept while also being fun to play as. Kinetic came to mind at first, but I heard that it's pretty lacking as an offensive power. Energy seems fun, but I'm unsure which defensive power to select with it. Someone suggest Titan/Electric, and I could probably make that work with the theme if I make some adjustments to the costume to make it more "electric", but I'm not quite sure how to realize that build. Would anyone on here have any suggestions or tips on a viable and theme-friendly powerset to go with?

I like my Super Strength/ Electric Brute. Power Sink and Energize take the sting out of Rage crashes, and nothing says "using your cybernetic arms in a fight" like Punch, Haymaker, and Knockout Blow.

Just about anything other than Ice, Dark, Fire, and Stone seems like it could be justified for offensive set.

One of my Brutes is a Super Strength/Shield user who has cyborg arms.  The source of his strength is in there while they also come with a helpful defensive barrier to protect him from the debris created by the excessive collateral damage he causes.

Currently leveling an Electric melee/Rad armor brute - "Daemon Core;" his concept is mild-mannered nuclear plant technician injured and transformed during one of the MANY villain assaults on the Paragon City facility.

 

He's at level 40 and rising smoothly.

 

EDIT: Hit 50+, went full resist with 100% recharge debuff protection and high recharge
