Psionic Melee

Boon

Recommended Posts

Have taken it up to Greater Psi Blade; I love it. Fantastic single target damage, good boss+ murdermachine. Poor AOE to say the least. Responsive and quick overall, and there aren't lot of things as satisfying as loading up a GPB with Insight and decking a boss flat out.

Sweep is junk, don't bother with it.

You will need all the endurance help you can get. /dark is not recommended. /wp seemed alright. I'm rolling up a psy/bio right now to see if bio is any better.

Here is a build I did for Psi/Energy - It is definitely more of a single target Brute although it's AoE is available every 6.4 seconds. This Brute build is more of a solo build although it would do well on teams - just did not bother with taunt.

Capped defense to all but Negative (39%) and Psi (21%) - Psi is definitely it's weakness which is a bit funny since it is a Psi Brute.

Aw, man, I was hoping Sweep would be decent. Cone too narrow, or damage too weak?

Good to know about the endurance.

Narrow and slow. Takes a lot to put three targets in it. Bit of a wind up and then not a whole lot of damage.

Have psi/bio up to 22 now and it's a killer compared to /dark or /wp. Highly recommend /bio running offensive adapt.

While lower level and not having Stamina+Inexhaustible 3 slotted with end mod, don't focus too heavy on Telekinetic Blow. Cycling through Psiblade>Mental Strike>Brawl or Boxing with 2x slots each (or 50% each) dam/rech/endred on Psiblade and MS will melt through stuff well enough. I'm not slotting any Accuracy and have yet to really have issues with it. The Offensive Adaptation to-hit seems just enough for regular/boss difficulty. Once you're sitting at 90%+ endurance at all times, start going heavy into Tele Blow. Slot up GPB as soon as you can and you'll crush anything big and scary you come across.

Darn. I was hoping it would improve as the I leveled up. Might have to replace it.

Added some to that post; but Psi is so ST heavy that it's kind of a waste of power+slots to do anything with sweep. Mass Lev is tasty but more for clearing minions/LTs in a small herd than really pulling the whole map and trying to aoe properly. I'd rather just crank the +Lvl and fight big things than whittle down a big mob one by one. The first time you launch an enhanced GPB with Insight active at an EB, you'll get a good feel for Psi as a whole

I'm running a Rad/Bio brute, and would definitely agree on /Bio. I enjoyed it during i24 Beta, and was bummed when the shut down the game before it could go live.

My Psi questions have actually been for my Rad/Psi Tank. I'll be keeping all of this input in mind for him once I level him up more. Thanks!

I run a psi/rad brute and its just disgusting! rad armor gives fantastic regen/rec and has a radiation attack much like combustion.

I know this was a while back, but do you happen to have a pine build of this? I've been trying to build a psi/rad scrapper but have been mulling if I should go brute instead.

Good to know about the endurance.

Sweep is fine and can disorient, it's cone is good, DMG is good, and added soft control

Sorry I do not have a pines put together for this guy, I kinda just put him together on the fly currently sitting @ lv 35. I made him when the shards first launched when AE was at 100% xp so he boosted quickly. I prefer brutes to scrappers due to fury, but scraps get that sweet crit too..
