Azari Posted November 12 Posted November 12 I think animated tails should also have special emotes. Like dog tail wag, etc. i’d like tails to be a little more expressive than simply moving back and forth automatically. 1
Rudra Posted November 12 Posted November 12 (edited) The animated tails already have animations going. Any emotes are likely going to be disrupted by the continuous tail animation. (Edit: Just like how right now you can disrupt/cancel your own emotes by moving or having another animation applied to you.) (Edit again: Not saying it can't be done, just saying it most likely can't be done.) Edited November 12 by Rudra

FFXIV does this with races that have tails, or more specifically, the tails will do something specific with a tail. Like angry will lift the tail up, or something. This would be cute!

That game is also 6 years younger and probably on a newer less ancient game engine. Edited November 12 by Rudra 1

Or something to add to OP suggestion. There theoretically shouldn't be an issue with doing something like that with tails in this game, but that's why I said to start over if for some reason that isn't the case. /s Edited November 12 by Crimsanotic

They aren't going to be starting over. So that can be flushed. If the devs can add tail emotes for animated tails though? Great. It would be nice to be able to do more with our tails. All I am saying is don't hold your breath. 1
Snarky Posted November 12 Posted November 12 tweens already spend too much time looking at these toons butts.... 1
brass_eagle Posted November 12 Posted November 12 Lol @Snarky don't pretend you try and sassy walk. However, I agree. Though the animation of skeletons has evaded the team as far as I'm aware. I wouldn't expect it... contribute knowledge if you can! 1

I really don’t see why an emote couldn’t do the same. Your reasoning as to why it “can’t” be done feel a little bit… shortsighted to me…
