Toothbreaker (Snaptooth) badge

Last year, I toiled and struggled and cried and bled during the Winter Event to get the Toothbreaker badge for quite (too) many of my toons.  This year, during the Valentine Event, I very nearly effortlessly got the Toothbreaker badge for the new toons I had created since the Winter Event and had to kick myself for wasting time getting the badge during the Winter Event (disclaimer: "kick myself" is an ancient popular phrase that references physical assault against oneself as fake self-punishment for a bad decision made.  This explanation is for you whippersnappers that don't understand "ancient" jargon.)

 

If you want the Toothbreaker badge, just be patient and wait for the Valentine Event.  Try to badge *one* toon during the Winter Event for the Snaptooth badge to understand what I mean.  And then badge the rest of your toons during the Valentine Event.  You'll thank me later.

Huh, I find either event easy enough to beat Snaptooth.

I mean I suppose the leading out the ugly baby can be painful, but this year you can use Mark & Recall and avoid the hostage lead.

I did this very thing. The only hitch was waiting the 9 minutes for it to recharge. But, since I was tabbing in and out for work, a simple thing. 

This mark & recall accolade has been worth the effort 10x over - especially as I'm working my way through Praetoria which has more than few escorts and "find mission exit" maps.

Yea, the cooldown is a pain, but the chars I'm running thru can do a couple other things while there's a recharge.  The Lady mission just for starters.

Winter event is fine for Toothbreaker badge,  I send in an alt and defeat Snaptooth, then log out to reset the mission and repeat 4 more times for Toothbreaker.

 

Also along the way, I have the spawn size maxed for clearing the Tuatha (takes about 4 runs of the mission),  the snow men for the 100 defeat badge and also clear the cave of red caps.

I don't do increase the size of the spawn since there's usually enough snowmen while doing the toy collector, but it's usually close enough.   Though I did test out my Rad brute at +4/x8 to get a friend some extra XP.

Even if you don't need the Winter Horde snowmen, BNY is a great mission for Tuatha and Red Caps.

It's a fair tip, at least for the Tuatha. Anecdotally, if I am pursuing the Geas accolade, Tuatha are ones I'll need to hunt a bit, because my ranged characters don't usually ramp up the spawn size, although my melee characters might. 

Red Caps, anecdotally, I generally get in Katie Hannon in combination with the red cap missions in the story arcs. 

Still, anytime you get a tip like this from Voltor - take note. He's done this at least once, lol. He might know something!

Ok, after reading this thread I gave the Baby New Year mish another try on a couple of toons and I think I realized why I struggled so hard last year.

 

Last year, I was doing the Lady Winter mish 4 times to get the four badges and then doing the Baby New Year mish 5 times to get Toothbreaker.  I guess I wasn't paying attention enough to realize that I could just do the Lady Winter mish once and then the Baby New Year mish 5 times to get the same badging results.
