gameboy1234 Posted January 15 Posted January 15 So I did this mish through flashback, the mish says "complete" but I'm still on the TF and I can't talk to Archmage Tarixus to complete the mission. (That means even when I'm standing in front of him I don't have the blue hand cursor and I can't interact with him at all.) Might be operator error by me but I think this one's a little buggy. It's only two missions and I completed them both, not sure what is up. I did get all the flashback badges at the end for buffed enemies and such.
Rudra Posted January 15 Posted January 15 I just ran this through Ouroboros to check. It works just fine. You need to click Archmage Tarixus to get his closing comment to complete the arc/flashback. You won't get the blue hand icon, just click him whenever his target box gets highlighted and the mission completes.
Uun Posted January 15 Posted January 15 I've run through this recently on about 15 characters (for the Demonic accolade) and haven't had any issue. That said, you don't have to talk to him. You get the badge when you complete the 2nd mission. You can quit the TF after that without talking to him. 1 Uuniverse
Raikao Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Did this through the normal contact just this week, no issues. I'm almost sure I got the badge during the mission. You click the altar and then kill the demons that come at you, even the one guy who's at the bottom of the cave and can't get to you. That was annoying but all I can remember about it. Maybe you have to go to him and talk to him after though. Have you tried again? Did it work?

To complete the double mission of "Offer the Soul of Akarist", outside of just quitting the TF you find yourself on for doing it via Ouroboros after you get the mission completion reward and badges as appropriate. the player holding the mission has to talk to Archmage Tarixus after exiting the mission. The author's mistake as far as I can tell is not clicking Archmage Tarixus to complete the mission because no blue hand icon appeared to interact with him. However, as long as you are attempting to select Archmage Tarixus, you can click him to complete the mission. The lack of a blue hand indicator is matched by his selection box highlighting. So blue hand or no, as long as he is selected/clicked, he completes the mission for the player. This has been going on for a while and I'm not sure what is going on with it.
SeraphimKensai Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Did you change your alignment before completing the arc?
Hedgefund Posted Friday at 03:15 AM Posted Friday at 03:15 AM Tarixus has a weird interaction box. You have to click low, I mean way low, like his feet. Also for this mini (2 mission) arc it's perfectly fine to just "quit tf" after the second mission, you've got the badge, got the merits, got the mission complete, there's nothing else to earn. This is my SOP (literally [way] over 100 times on HC).

In that regard, he's similar to the guards at the gates to/from hazard zones, where the interaction box has you more-or-less groping their crotch to trigger the interaction.
Hedgefund Posted Friday at 07:05 PM Posted Friday at 07:05 PM Hm, I just did a Renault which ends near Tarixus so I went by to see if my statement above was true and I didn't find him notably difficult to click. It was a little bit lower than most contacts but it did up being right where his floating junk would be.
