I do not know if this is some hard limit baked into the code for, but it certainly would be nice to have the limit of 10 coalitions increased to 50 or more. Thank you. 1 2

I do not know if there is some technical reason why it is limited, however given that we now have so many character slots and bases no longer have prestige costs, it would be nice if we could get either the SG coalition limit increased or the SG roster limit increased or both.
Starhammer Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Something I'd love to see would be a SG setting to allow a member's entire @Global roster to share their member character's access/permissions. That would prevent much of the need for roster size increase and probably the need for a lot of coalitions too. Even without that, having a character's @Global handle be listed on the Supergroup window would be nice.

Any character can already access any SG base whether they are a member or not, so long as the SG is sharing the base entry pass code. As far as coalition settings allowing for access permission to salvage storage in any coalition base, I do not see that happening for the numerous reasons already stated in threads on this very topic. I personally do not see it as necessary either. People can already create personal bases for personal storage if they want to store salvage.

But I did wonder if part of the limitation here is how many coalition bases can be shown on the popup when you click on a base portal? It's possible increasing the number of coalitions would require a recode of that popup to have a scroll bar and in general work differently. I had thought about this as perhaps the primary reason for limiting coalitions as from what I always understood, messing with the UI is a real pain. I completely agree. We have a thousand character slots per server, so SG rosters for active SGs can fill very quickly.
Techwright Posted Saturday at 03:16 PM Posted Saturday at 03:16 PM In the OG game, was the coalition number based on maximum population to some event? Like perhaps the ill-fated base defense? or possibly the MSR? Although I only ever see 4 teams in a league I'm aware the league can supposedly go to several more teams (I actually saw a league leader this past week putting leads in "teams" 5, 6, and I think 7) and to my little grey cells, this was possibly related to coalition-sized events.
