TheMoneyMaker Posted Tuesday at 09:43 PM Posted Tuesday at 09:43 PM So the new wedding mission has us traveling back in time to verify for Sigil and Kadabra Kill how events took place to see if it played out how either remembered it. I have a few of problems with this premise. Why don't either or both go see for themselves? At the wedding, I don't see Sigil's or Kadabra Kill's past selves in attendance. How would they remember anything at all? If everyone goes (and some people going multiple times) since they offer to let you relive it again and again, wouldn't it play out differently each time with more and more people (and additional temporal duplicates of themselves) showing up to crowd the scene? Will we get a confirmation on whether or not Sigil or Kadabra Kill remembered it accurately or if they're both wrong? It's a cool mission and there's always going to be some handwaving away of temporal mechanics and paradoxes, but it leaves some questions hanging that are going to bother me until they show up again with this mission next year. 1

keyguardactive Posted Wednesday at 01:32 AM Posted Wednesday at 01:32 AM Multiverse Theory. Every time you attend the wedding, you're not in YOUR timeline, you're generating a parallel one because you're doing different things and therefore creating a different future. The rules are more the Future Trunks saga from Dragonball than Back to the Future. Does this fit with how time travel is said to work elsewhere? Not really. But it solves more things than it breaks.
Scarlet Shocker Posted Wednesday at 09:54 AM Posted Wednesday at 09:54 AM Probably easier to imagine this as something akin to the X-Men's Danger Room. Play a scenario on repeat until you've got it down. I neither know, nor care, what the difference between ignorance and apathy is

For the same reason you get the occasional mission from regular contacts that has you hand-carrying a message to another contact that is literally twenty feet away from them — they're lazy-ass bastards who get their jollies from watching you run around at their beck and call. 5
