Captain Fabulous Posted yesterday at 02:56 AM Posted yesterday at 02:56 AM Too many jackasses are griefing people and preventing them from getting the Down in Front badge by skipping the ceremony even after being asked not to. It's happened at least a dozen times tonight on Excelsior. And since the logs don't note who did it there's no way to know. 2 3
gameboy1234 Posted yesterday at 03:05 AM Posted yesterday at 03:05 AM I think I've seen it happen once, probably on accident. Still, not a terrible request.
Doc_Scorpion Posted yesterday at 05:11 AM Posted yesterday at 05:11 AM I've seen it happen a couple of times, and I have a very hard time believing that something that takes two clicks is an accident. 1 Unofficial Homecoming Wiki - Paragon Wiki updated for Homecoming! Rudra Posted yesterday at 05:36 AM Posted yesterday at 05:36 AM (edited) I've never seen it happen, but I agree anyway. If only because I know there are trolls out there that would do that. So consider me in full support of the OP. (Edit: Honestly, I'm surprised Posi' will talk to anyone not the mission holder. I didn't know he would/could.) Edited yesterday at 05:37 AM by Rudra 2
Mystoc Posted yesterday at 02:52 PM Posted yesterday at 02:52 PM (edited) you can do this solo you know, if that's the last badge you need just do it pick wedding dialogue stand between them get teleported then leave. it takes maybe 30 seconds to do by yourself and zero fighting is required is basically an exploration badge (it's how I did it) It's a good suggestion that makes sense, but the work around is simple as can be just drop the team. Yes, I'm aware that it's easy to get on your own, and I started doing that to avoid this issue. But it's an issue nonetheless. Any setup that allows trolls to easily grief other players should be fixed. 1 2

I agree it should work the way you describe I just think it's a very low priority change. don't let trolls troll is a good principle to have but again the workaround to this is beyond simple, it's basically an exploration badge stand here talk to NPC get badge. you can get this badge faster by yourself then it takes to even form a team, I'm not against the change you suggest just the urgency you're giving it hope that makes sense. No, it makes less than zero sense - because the message I'm quoting is the very first mention of any sort regarding urgency. It also misses the point that allowing griefers to talk to Posi can mess up teams of people, more than one of which might want the badge. 1 Unofficial Homecoming Wiki - Paragon Wiki updated for Homecoming! This part ^^^^ It also presumes the average player knows they can get that badge on their own and how to do it, and I'm fairly confident there are a lot who don't.
Xion80 Posted yesterday at 04:38 PM Posted yesterday at 04:38 PM (edited) Thanks for the heads up, I'll definitely be running it solo. Been a huge spike in disgruntled "WoW wackos" showing up on Excelsior. Had one as a Stone/Stone Tanker teleporting around a Carnie mission pulling as many Dark Ring Mistresses in an attempt to destroy the team before he left mid mission. We survived, but trolling has certanly spiked as of late. Edited yesterday at 04:54 PM by Xion80 1
lemming Posted yesterday at 05:05 PM Posted yesterday at 05:05 PM I was on a team that was setup to do the Nemesis option and a person started the ceremony because they wanted the Down in Front badge. (which kills the ability to do the Nemesis option for the mission holder) At least the mission holder seems to be the only one that can do the Nemesis option. It's a reasonable request to just have the mission holder able to start things off. Since the dialogue box doesn't go away until you choose an option, it shouldn't hurt how people setup. 1

OP did not acknowledge in their post its easy and faster to do this solo and the teaming element and is actually way slower always you can have the badge solo in 30 seconds with zero fighting, only in their response to me was that stated. OPs post Spoiler Too many jackasses are griefing people and preventing them from getting the Down in Front badge by skipping the ceremony even after being asked not to. It's happened at least a dozen times tonight on Excelsior. And since the logs don't note who did it there's no way to know. I think if you are presenting a problem in a post you should also present the alternatives to solve said problem, so others get an idea of how urgent the problem is that was not done. the way this is worded makes it sound like it's a badge you need to team to earn, and trolls are constantly preventing the badge from being obtained with no alternative. the real issue in my mind is many people are teaming up for a badge that is just way faster to get solo because they don't know any better. Yes leaders should be the only ones to initiate mission choices I agree, but do wish OP informed others of how to solve the problem instead of just presenting the issue with no context. Yes, but this is a suggestion & feedback sub forum. I wasn't writing up a PSA or bug report with a workaround. This post is to suggest the devs change Posi's interaction due to player griefing. I'm well aware you can do it on your own and that it's one way to avoid this issue, but that was not the point of this post. It would be worth bringing this up in general discussion which I might do later today along with a few other general etiquette suggestions for this event. 1
