Street Justice Tanker

Built my first Street Justice Scrapper (StJ/Nin) and love it.

 

I want to give it a whirl on a Tanker and see if I can take advantage of the higher target caps on some abilities.

 

Are there any primaries that pair particularly well with StJ?

 

Rad Armor, Shield Defense and Bio Armor are all ones that stick out to me.

Yup pretty much all of those armors fit well.  

 

Spinning Strike having a larger area and count is a boon for the power but you'll still want to get some aoe damage from your armor and/or epic powers like Fireball.

I am currently levelling up a Rad/StJ Tanker. He's in his mid-late 30s. Won't call him the ultimate Tanker or anything, but he's enjoyable enough.

I feel like it could be a cool “Sun powered” Superman concept. They seem pretty synergistic on paper.

I am currently trying to work Fold Space into mine and unlike with most of my other Tanker, the Build Up power so its yank foes in, go to three combo points, dish out area damage from both offense and defensive sets.

I feel like Shield/StJ might be the COOLER of the two options. I think Rad/StJ might be the more OPTIMAL though. I'd run StJ/Bio on a Scrapper, personally.

I messed around with both a Rad/StJ and Shield/StJ build on a Tanker. Both would be amazing. I know @Spaghetti Betty runs a StJ/Rad Scrapper. They might be able to give some insights on how it'd run on a Tanker. I would think, with Rad being primarily a resist set, it would shine more on a Tanker compared to a Scrapper.... that being said, I believe Scrappers get a larger dmg % buff from Meltdown (40% I believe?) compared to a Tanker or Brute.

I know Invulnerability isn't thought of as an offensive set but Invincibility provides +ToHit and if you slot the Gaussian's Chance for Build Up it fires off a lot when surrounded by enemies.

There are certainly merits to Shield/StJ.

Yeah, it's hard to for me to say which of the two would be "better." Rad/StJ will never worry about endurance and have nice AOE consistently.

 

For Shield/StJ, there is just something super nice about hitting Combat Readiness, Shield Charging in followed by Lv. 3 Spinning Strike and just using your combos until you can L3 Crushing Uppercut a tough target. Just *chefs kiss*

I’d be interested to see how you do this.   I have Fold Space on my rad tanker and I love it, but it costs a number of pool powers which could be used to slot LotG recharges.

 

Does work great with Rad’s AoE stuff

That's exactly how I run my StJ tank.  Breezes through "classic" +4/8 ITFs...
